awwww thanks Katie!! I really thought that weekend would work out great... it was clear with room to spare based off of this years schedule (not only for the level 5 that she competed at this year but the level 6 schedule too!) but I guess because of Easter...things were shuffled around a bit.

I'm gonna hope for Monday 4/26-Fri 4/30 but it will depend on vacation time... since i'm back on the bottom of the totem-pole again

BTW.. After the 7 day ABD tour... i'm planning to add 3 nights at the Disneyland Paris hotel (the pink one!!) using up a ton of DVC points in the process... but rooms DO sleep 4... and there are only the 2 of us

Oh Paula! It's ok! I think there are a lot of things coming up with many of us gnomies lately, but we will cross our fingers and if you can't make it, we'll keep up these little meets here and there until eventually we can all go! probably August 2011... but at this point are gonna be whatever I manage to be able to get as vacay. The people i work with are very accomidating and i know that once ABD posts their schedule... I'll be able to figure it out. but for now it's loosy goosy... i just want to be home before school starts....

Well I had to share one little bright spot today. Greg was telling me that he got another e-mail from his sister. She was giving some updates about the rest of the family (Greg has 3 brothers also). She then commented that she would like to keep in touch but would not be the one to repair his relationship with the others. He told me that he e-mailed back and told her that didn't want her to do that and if they want a relationship with him, they know where he is.

So I guess that answers some of my concerns, his mother I suspect will never swallow her pride to reconcile with Greg.

I am so glad that it is Thursday and the weekend. Can you believe that Sunday is Marc & I's 1 year wedding anniversary! This year has flown by. Friday night we are going to go buy each other anniversary presents....we decided to do the traditional thing each year and buy the traditionals gifts. Well year 1 is paper....so I'm getting some Disney Dollars! Marc wants a horror magazine subscription so we are going to the bookstore to pick up the magazine and then go to the mall for my Disney Dollars and then we are FINALLY going to go see Up. Saturday we have a family BBQ with my dad's side of the family. Our annual family Christmas swap was canceled this year due to an ice storm so my mom is throwing a BBQ so we can all see each other. Then Sunday is the big anniversary, Marc has to work that night so we will just hang at home and eat our disgusting cake topper. Eating year old cake REALLY grosses me out.

Marc's aunt who made the cake made the top layer the flavor I don't like...stupid mocha cake...so I'm sticking with the frosting. I've had it in the freezer for a year so I feel like we at least have to try to eat some of it. It even survived the move....with a giant thumb print in the side of it.

With the gifts I found a list that gives each year. They have the traditional and modern version and even the flowers you should give. I thought it was a handy tool to send to Marc. The modern gift is plastic. So if they are out of Disney Dollars, I'll be covered with a gift card.

Aww, happy anniversary LL and Marc! I remember eating our cake on our anniversary but don't really remember much about it. I guess it wasn't TOO bad!

did any of you hear the Iowa news this morning? (I am watching it on CBS right now) I local football coaching legend was shot yesterday morning by a former player. This guy is well-known for an awesome record and the highest per capita of players making the NFL in the country. He was central in helping their town recover and rebuild from an F5 tornado last year. The kid who killed him had been taken to the hospital on Sunday for a psychiatric evaluation. The hospital was supposed to notify the police when he was ready to be released but that somehow wasn't done.

It's just a terrible tragedy.

I promise I am done being the downer at this party! Today I have decided that I wasn't meant to get that teaching job and am moving forward. There are 2 jobs at my university that I think I will apply for and hope for the best!
