No zombies here, 13 years of trip reports!!!

Hiya! Looks like you had fun! We’re with you on Kidani, we stayed there once and had the second to last room down the hallway. It was literally 0.6 or 0.7 miles from the lobby. It was closer for us to walk to the Jambo lobby. It was crazy. Also agree on the Jambo transportation. So we use our AKL DVC points for booking elsewhere at 7 months, we have Grand Floridian coming up soon, staying the building they converted from the regular rooms to DVC. It’s worth the extra points to us for the convenience!

Time to celebrate our 25th anniversary. That seems like a long time. And, we are at a 2 bedroom at OKW with our 2 daughters, SIL, and grandson.

Day 1. Arrival and then to Blizzard Beach for our free water park day.

Florida heat and water park don't take long to put him down. My youngest missed Day 1 at a tennis tournament, and drove in later.

Day 2 Animal Kingdom

We made an effort this year to go slow. Sadly, I can no longer do rope drop to close. So, we arrived late, FOTLK, Safari, Tusker House ADR, Rafiki, Nemo, Avatar and time to quit.

My youngest has surpassed my tennis abilities, but I can still drink her under the table.

Day 3 Epcot

We had a great time drinking around the world. My top 3 are the tequila bar in Mexico, grapefruit draft in Germany, and lemon slush in France. We were able to do most all the rides, Garden Grill ADR, and enjoyed night time music. Garden Grill was bad at the small tables, but that was about all.

Day 4 is day off

We enjoyed breakfast at Ohana, and yes, we had 4 lapu lapu in the pineapple. My oldest doesn't eat pineapple.

Day 5 at Magic Kingdom

We arrived in the afternoon and checked out the DVC lounge. Quite enjoyable. Crystal Palace ADR was terrible on food terms and sitting 6 people at 4 top in center of restaurant. Glad to be done with that. Finally was able to see new theming in Splash Mountain which I enjoyed.Screenshot_20250906_113117_Gallery.jpg

Day 6 at Hollywood Studios

Another relaxing day with Hollywood n Vine which was really good for lunch. Great character interaction. Star Tours now had Kylo Ren catching the ship instead of Vader, which is cool, but not as cool as Vader. Fantasmic is a great finish (dining package). Screenshot_20250906_113138_Gallery.jpg

Day 7 Disney Springs/ Flight back home

It was another great trip - 31 trips for me. The pace has changed over the years, with enjoying the memories and experiencing them with my grandson as the highlights. We have less than 20 years left on our DVC contract, but will keep returning, and maybe, there will be more posts. Have a magical day.

I can relate to the slower pace. It's still lots of fun, just different priorities. I'm on the west coast and I remember when they were building VGC. I was staying on the hotel side and did a tour and I thought it was ridiculous that anyone needed a kitchen table, a full kitchen and a big bathtub. I rode rides all day and only used the room to shower and sleep. It was super easy to cram 4 people in the room because we were never in it.

Now, if it's just my husband and myself, I want 2 toilets, 2 sleeping areas, a balcony with a good view, laundry and a full size refrigerator. 🤣 That's because I know I'll be chilling in the room for a while every day.

Never been to DL, but I thought the same. We would do fine in the studio room. It's nice having the extra space.
