No Spectro?

I just noticed under the Disney schedules that the will be no Spectromagic on Feb. 10 After months of planning, of course this would be our only MK day. I understand about refurbishments and such, but up until last week it was still on the schedule. Oh well, not much I can do about it I guess. At least we'll be in Disney!

Don't fret just yet . . . We'll be there on 1/31 and planned to do Spectro that night. I re-checked the schedule last week and it was gone. I was so disappointed and changed our schedule. Then yesterday, it reappeared and I've been scrambling to change things back. I'd give it a week and see if it comes back on the schedule.

I was planning my Disney vacation for a few weeks now and the only day I saw Spectro was on Friday of our week. (it is also on Saturday but we will be gone) This parade schedule has been the same since the end of Dec.

I'm also planning to see Spectro on February 10. When I go to the disneyworld.com website and look at the February hours for the Magic Kingdom, it shows that Spectro will run that night. What website are you looking at that has it removed from the schedule? Thanks.

I was looking at the "Park Hours, Fireworks, Parades" in the link at the top of this page. But you're right--when I go to the DisneyWorld site, it's still scheduled for 7:00!!! So there's hope yet. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it stays up there. Thank you so much!

Yes, Spectro has become the mystery parade so far this year. The parade appeared on specific days when a month's park hours are first posted on the calendar. But now many of the Spectromagic dates have disappeared. However, now I noticed that Spectromagic reappears a week or so before the actual dates. For example the Spectromagic parade today, January 27, was removed from the calendar a week or so ago, but it reappeared last weekend. According to a member here, WDSearch, who can access the CM portal, the Spectromagic parades are planned for many more days than are listed on the WDW calendar. It would appear that Disney has planned for Spectromagic parades, but for some reason (attendance?, weather?), it will not publicize the dates of this parade until a few days prior. Yet, Spectromagic is scheduled for February 28 which is farther in the future, but currently there is no Spectro scheduled in March, when at one time there was many days scheduled, go figure!

One time we were at the MK and asked about Spectro for that night just in case. We were told, yes it would be running. So right before parade time, we went to our favorite spot and waited, marveling that there weren't many people around yet. No Spectro. So you never know. I wouldn't give up hope. I'm still hoping for an E night Feb. 27 and I won't give up hope til that very morning.
