So we stayed in a treehouse villa and loved it (although not sure we would do it again for shorter trips with the busing situation but I digress). Anyhow, I can't believe a skillet is not a part of the provided pots and pans. A skillet is probably my most used pan at home so what do folks do? Bring one? How else do you cook your pancakes? Eggs? etc?

If you dont have a skillet, call housekeeping and they will bring you one. The Amenity list for the THV located inside the upper cabinet says there is a 11 piece cookware set.

I did not have the large stock pot and wanted to make spaghetti. Checked the list and saw there was supposed to be one. Counted my pieces and came up with 9. Called and it was delivered in less than 20 minutes. I fear our cookware may be "walking" off because we are not the only ones that have reported missing cookware items at THV.

We were at THV for 12 nights over Christmas and LOVED it!!! Didnt use the busses once. We were close to the walkway to SSR and used the Grandstand stop and that was with my 2year old niece in a stroller. We did have our vehicle but did not drive to attractions or DTD or other resorts. Only used the vehicle for offsite.

I would have thought a skillet was in the 11 piece cookware set but did not see it listed out so assumed I was wrong . . .

I thought the same thing when we were there then I remembered that in an electric stove the bottom thing is a storage drawer not a broiler like it is in a gas oven. The two skillets were in the drawer under the oven. Did you check there?

I make a big breakfast every day before heading out to the parks and use both of the fry pans every day. I was getting seriously miffed before I thought to look in the drawer under the oven.

I think they need to let you know about the busses when you reserved the THV. Having to take two busses wasn't a big deal for us but I can see how it could be for people carrying alot of stuff back or with a stroller and little ones.

Not to hijack the thread, but please expand upon the bus situation.

Check the bottom drawer of the oven and also in the oven, we found several things stored there.

A skillet should be standard. Our last trip in Dec (@BCV) MOST of the standard cookware items were stored in the oven warming drawer. On the last evening of our stay (New Year's Day) we just decided to go back to the villa and make the spaghetti that I'd brought. I was in the bedroom getting comfy's on and DH was being helpful and trying to get things going with the boiling water in what was maybe an 8 cup sauce pan. (I had to break the spaghetti to make it fit)

It wasn't until the next morning when I was packing us up toleave that I discovered the full boiler in the overhead cabinet...
So word to even the most seasoned DVC owners... make sure you checkout all the cabinets at check in to see where things are and what you have to work with... another tenant could have just stored something at an odd location.

The busses running through the Treehouse Villas loop do NOT go to parks -- but instead bring you to Saratoga Springs so you can transfer to busses heading to the parks.

Unless the weather is severe, we found it easier to simply walk from the Treehouse Villa to the bus stop at SSR Grandstand section.

As noted, a skillet should be standard. In recent years they have started having non stick skillets.
