No PS at Palo from Itinerary Planner?

Hi everyone~!

We got our call from Disney for our itinerary planning today!! But, she was unable to make PS for on PALO or the SPA (which was included in our Honeymoon pkg.) She said she was able to only make PS for us for the land portion, and I should call DCL directly for that.

I called DCL and they said they don't do any PS for Palo and the spa over the phone and we would have to make ressies once we get on the boat. But we thought it was PART of the Honeymoon Pkg. we paid for! That they would call us ahead of time and get these ressies for us!

In the pkg. it said we get PS at Palo and the spa treatment included in our itenerary planning...

Are we just expecting too much and misunderstood the Honeymoon pkg.? We kinda stuggled to pay extra for this service and now we don't get it!

We made all the dinner ressies for the land portion by ourselves already, so we really didn't need the CM's help on that part...

pls. help...pls. don't flame us for being over-expectant, or naive...we're new to this!

The spa they do not schedule in advance, you can do that on the ship, but you SHOULD be able to pre-book Palo as part of your package. At least that used to be the case. I'd call DCL again and ask to speak to the dining coordinator and see what she says.

Very good question.

When can you start make PS for Palo's. We are with DU will they make them for us? or do we have to come on board to make PS's.
We are going on the 4 nt Wonder.

You are not neive to ask questions like this. This is what the DIS board is all about. Helping people out with simple questions like this for first time cruisers (like you and me) and for people who have cruised lots prior. If I had booked the Honeymoon pkg I would also expect the same thing you did.

Minybear, it is only if you are booked in a suite or on a special package that you can pre-book dining at Palo. For everyone else you book once onboard.

When we did our Magic cruise last year, I purchased what I believe was called Disney's romance package. It gave us 2 spa treatments, some goodies in our cabin, and advance reservations for Palo's. Our travel agent received a letter with a number and contact person. She passed it on to me and I called and arranged dinner and high tea before the cruise. Like you, I purchased the package partially so I wouldn't have to wait in line or fill out a card on embarkation day. Whenever I go on Disney again, hopefully in next two years, I plan to purchase it again. I would call your travel agent and see what she/he can do for you. I believe I received the number only about two weeks before the cruise.

Thanks for all the responses...I just tried calling agin, and they're closed already, we'll try tomorrow. It's really bothering my FW, she thinks it's a bad start to the honeymoon already...but we'll try again.

We didn't want to make a big deal about it to the CM, but after we got off the phone, we felt like it wasn't worth paying extra for this honeymoon pkg!

We booked this pkg/trip directly w/ Disney, and they told us what this pkg. offers. So far, the only "extra" we got was the CM calling to book our photo session w/ at the park. We did everything else ourselves.

I hope this works out, I don't want my FW to be upset, she's worried that by the time we get on the ship, all the ressies would be booked up for Palo. W/ the spa, it's understandable, but if we can at least get PS for either one prior to the cruise.
