My Disser friend and I just booked a last minute trip for AUg 31 - Sept 3. Given the difficulty I had at my 90 day mark for ADRs Sept 27- Oct 2, I was pretty resigned to eating mostly at CS restaurants or getting bad times at the less popular resort restaurants.

I was stunned today to find I could get anything I wanted when I wanted it. :worship: I got my friend on the phone and she advised we hurry and complete the booking in case it was just a glitch on the online booking site! :confused3 Nope. Everything was fine. I mean I booked Flying Fish, Narcoosees, Donald's Breakfast at Tuskers, Sanaa, exactly when I wanted any of these.:worship: I even saw Chef Mickey's and Coral Reef as alternatives!

I can't figure out what is going on. Why was everything booked a month later and open for this trip? Does it have to do with people cancelling 45 days out? Or did they hold back some reservations and have just released them? This is within the free dining period isn't it? Anyone know why this might be? :confused3

At about 70 days out for the end of Aug/beginning Sept, I booked online for Coral Reef, Le Cellier dinner and Ohana - three of the most popular free dining locations. The Ohana reservation is late - 8:50 on a Sunday night before Labor Day - but I have a reservation.

As to why this is so, no clue. Can only suggest that those who are frustrated at the 90 day mark keep trying.

Also had multiple times available for California Grill on 8/31 but chose a late one on purpose. I am desperate for something to do at night since the PI closure.

I could only wish we'd be the only ones there that week.

It's so nice to hear someone actually gets all the ADRs they wanted. Good for you! :)

I suspect it could be a variety of reasons, such as people cancelling their trips/ADRs, or, something I've been doing recently, which is moving, changing, and cancelling some of the ADRs I made at my 90-day mark. What seemed like some good ADRs at the time didn't seem OK today after reading more reviews.

A few days ago, I gave up WCC for Garden Grill (which WAS NOT available when I booked at my 90-day mark but was available this week :confused3), which I then gave up for Tokyo Dining because it had better food reviews.

Maybe that could be it. I would just be surprised to see people give up California Grill or Chef Mickeys or Donalds Tusker House breakfast.....
