No Parks

Nope - wouldn't do it even if I could ... I love the parks. Love the rides, the fireworks, the parades. Sometimes I think we had kids so we could keep doing those things. If I want to sit around we'll go to the Dominican Rep or some other island where there really isn't anything else to do and spend a lot less money.

This is our plan for our upcoming trip! Our little ones aren't really old enough to care about demanding to go to parks and we want to just relax and enjoy the pool and lots of ADRs before my DD #1 and I go back to school in September. I plan on buying no expiration tickets so I have them just in case, we will probably try to do water parks also. Honestly last time DH and I, and kids loved just walking around, eating, shopping. We rode all the best rides (Soarin, Mission Space, Thunder Mountain, It's a Small World plus a few other kiddie rides and Expedition Everest) and not much else!

Just returned from a no kids trip with DH for 8 days. We did very little time in the parks but played golf, shopped at DTD and explored some of the other resorts. I could have stayed out of the parks completely and just relaxed but we had annual passes and thought we should use them before they expired. We cooked in the room most days but ate out when the mood struck us. No planning!! Great vacation because there was no rushing to make ADR's and getting to the park for early morning hours. When we were returning one night from the parks and a mom was telling her very tired kids that they had to get up early the next day for early morning at Epcot and the kids started to complain about never getting to sleep in on vacation. This used to be me before this vacation; never again.

well a couple of my trips were no parks - that was not the plan.

looking for a house - and finally found one!!!

it helped me to stay at a resort where you could see the fireworks.

I did it last summer with 2 small kids! We stayed 5 nights at OKW and had a relaxing vacation. We did the arts and crafts in the community room and went to the pool everyday. We went to downtown disney and to the movies. We had a great ime and returned home rested not exhausted.

We do it all of the time. On average, of our 8-10 trips each year, about half of them don't include park attendance. :thumbsup2
