The powers that be still have not posted May hours!!!! Aaauugh! It is making planning for our trip very difficult and making me crabby! Anyone else in the same boat? I check daily to see if they posted hours....I gave up on AP rates too! any ideas?

It makes sense. Many people are waiting to hear when the war will begin, and will book their trips accordingly, so Disney, well aware of this, is waiting to book their hours also.

I'm also waiting, and I hope that they post soon too, but I don't think we'll see anything until the beginning of April.

April now??? Wow... I'm lucky we're not going until the end of May. If I were trying to plan an early May trip I don't know what I'd do!!! ( as you can see i like to have my ducks in a row before I go;) ) I hope they post normal park hours and don't shorten them also. *sigh* we'll see....

Well, I figure the park hours will be at their minimum and I'm planning accordingly.

I'm going May 9 to 16 and am planning based on last year's hours, which were reduced. Last year they didn't come out until the end of April. Even if they did release them now, they are really worthless considering the cuts they have been making at the last minute for March and April.

I'm with you Tinks! I've been waiting for weeks now for them to post the May park hours. We too are going in May...May 17th to the 25th. I'm trying to plan all kinds of things...but it's hard when you don't know the park hours! For example, May 22nd is our 10th wedding anniversary. We are going to the Polynesian Luau for dinner....and I also rented a pontoon boat to watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom that night. I wanted the day to be special. But, I'm not even sure if they will be having the fireworks that night! So I might have ressies for a boat ride that won't even happen! :(

I hope they post them soon, so we can at least have some time to make other arrangements if need be.

Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day! :bounce:

I'm glad to hear that others are as frustrated with the situation as I am. We are going at the beginning of May & have only made a few PS (which I hope I will not have to change). I am an over planner and feel so naked without having the ability to at least know when fireworks are.:(

Waiting for May hours here too, but what difference will it make. I've been reading the threads about the March and April hours changing a lot, so this may happen to us too! Need to make my PS soon, but will avoid closing time.

Hi,
I'd like to apologize for May hours not being up. It's MY fault. Everytime we plan a trip to WDW, something bad happens in the world that delays the park hours posting and the hours being shorten (we had our last trip in Oct 01).

I'd like to give a warning right now, we have another trip planned next March. I apologize in advance for this trip too.

BTW- If you see me in line at the supermarket, don't get behind me, I ALWAYS get in the slowest lane.

Well, I know I can't get away next March...so it's o.k..(lol) I agree with you Punkin...I'm going to plan my days expecting short hours or base it off of last years hours. At least I'll be planning something instead of waiting! It is frustrating not knowing for sure if there will be fireworks on a particular night...I hope it works out for your anniversary! Thanks!

I'm waiting... patiently too  I'm just going by the historical hours for now. I figure I can make changes to my plans once the hours are posted.

This Just In - As a cost savings measure all Disney Parks will be closed for the month of May. LOL. No just kidding we'll be there May 10th to the 25th also waiting for May hours.

This is deja-vu! I had a May trip last year (and have one planned the first weekend in May this year), and I remember the same problem. If I recall correctly, the "official" hours didn't come out until April, but people started getting them by calling Disney near the end of March/beginning of April. So, not only are all the people in this thread in the same boat, it's the same boat we were in last year!

P.S. - even after they finally post the hours, they can be changed at the last minute, so keep checking up to and including the morning you enter the parks.

We will be there the first week in May. I had to make most of my PS's early because we are a party of 10. I made an early dinner at MGM that way no matter what time they make Fantasmic (even 7:00) we can make them. I also made 6:00 ressies for MK. If they happen to be open later I will see if I can change them. Hopefully the hours will be posted soon.
