TRIVIA CHALLENGE!

About how many pairs of mouse ears has Disneyland sold since its opening in 1955?

Let's see if anyone can get this right! I was at Disneyland earlier today and a plaid asked me this very question. :)

Also - I kind of want those ears!

I'm going to guess 85 million!
 
Checking in and it's not good! Had a gain of two pounds! Will do better this week.

It happens! I had a similar issue this week - really glad I have this group. It's disappointing to gain, but I don't feel like anyone here is going to judge me for it. The best thing we can do is get back on track!

Thanks for the words of encouragement, having a much better day today, so far anyway, lol. Three weeks from now we will be at Disney World, yay! So I will keep busy getting everything ready for our trip and try not to focus so much on food. Here's to a better week ahead!
 

Just a quick check-in. I've got the flu and have barely gotten out of bed for the past few days. Too dizzy and week to even manage a shower. I've also barely eaten anything other than jello, chicken soup, and tea but am somehow up 4.2 pounds. I think that puts me at negative 50% for week one. Sigh.

PSA: if you haven't already, get your flu shot. This is horrible.
 
Great job everyone this week -- November is off to a fabulous start and I'll get everyone's results posted tomorrow when I get to work.

Today was a bit... enlightening. With 9 pounds to go I thought that it was time to start looking at those Kate Spade dresses. I went into the store and tried on everything available... and NOTHING fit because my boobs are still too big! It turns out she designs dresses for the flat chested folks and those of us who are a bit more endowed can't play in her sandbox.

(Keep in mind that I've shrunk from a size 14 pant to a size 4 pant and from XL shirts to size S shirts... 55 pounds is quite a bit of weight to lose!)

Suffice to say - I've modified my end goal to be to 'wear one of those fancy designer dresses' to my graduation. And now that can include anyone who is sold at Nordstrom... like Betsey Johnson, Maggie London, etc etc. I'm headed to their "10 pt per dollar spent" holiday party in about a month and will start my search for the perfect dress then. And use/abuse those alternations credits to have a dress that is purely meant for me and a '1 of a kind'.

Haha well, this wasn't a good week for me - I weighed in at 146.8 today, so I'm up 1.2 lb (which I think is a -40%...)

Really have to get back on track this week! That is not the direction I want to see next weigh in :P

Sorry about that! I weighed in at 154.9 so a loss of 1.1 lbs.
 
You guysss!!!!!!!!! I just convinced DH to take a spontaneous trip to Disney to see the Osborne lights as our Christmas gift to each other!

Our insane plan is to do family Thanksgiving that Thursday, sleep, leave early in the morning on Black Friday, drive the 12-13 hours from Memphis to WDW, hang out at the Boardwalk or Disney Springs depending on what time we get in and what hotel we're staying at (trying to get a good rate at the Dolphin again, but POP is a little less than Dolphin's rack rate at the moment, so if we can't get a discount at Dolphin, we might try out POP), spend all day Saturday at DHS (yes, I do know it's probably going to be crazy busy, but who cares! It's open from 7a - 11p that day, too!) and then drive the 12-13 hours back to Memphis the next day... and then unfortunately back to work on Monday, haha.

It sounds insane, and before now I've never understood the people who do stuff like this, but we've got enough leftover from the wedding/our last trip that we could do it without draining our savings and just killing ourselves, especially with me taking a job so quickly. We don't have kids, just our dog, but he did amazingly well at my parents house during our honeymoon, and my dad even told us last night that if we ever wanted to take a weekend trip somewhere they will happily watch him again. It's the last year for the lights, PLUS! You have 30 days from the first download to add more pictures to your Memory Maker account, and wouldn't you know? We did our first download on November 1... That means any photos taken before November 30 can be added to this package, and we won't have to pay extra for another MM, or for new photos individually! Now's the time to be crazy and spontaneous and adventurous, right?!

I put this on the Dis somewhere...just not sure where...here goes again:

The scale told me I was down 4.2 lb. this week. That is 52.5% of my goal for the month. As for the trivia question... all I know is that I wish I had a dime for every one they have sold!
 
I am back from a wonderful weekend at the spa resort! Unfortunately I think that with birthday and being away I overdid the eating a bit and today is not shaping up to be the best day eit her. On the other hand I kept true to my running schedule and did manage runs on Friday and on Sunday. Running at the resort was crazy as it is in the mountains and I had the option of steep hills up or down. Nearly no slightly level path. I ran some and walked some. I have to say that I ran more uphill than downhill. I am scared of running downhill.

Need to return to better eating today! Lunch was not the best choice unfortunately...
 
@courtneybeth I am just thinking ahead to next weekend. I'll be away at DL for Avengers weekend from Wednesday to Monday, arriving home Monday afternoon. Can I wait to submit my weight check-in Monday? Should I skip the week? Or should I do my weigh in at zero dark thirty before I leave for the airport Wednesday? Just not sure how to handle the fact I'll have no access to a scale while away.

As for me-- I had a great time at the Jingle Jungle 5K! Y'all--- I can see now why people get addicted to that kind of stuff.... so much fun! Disney knows how to make something very tedious for me a blast. Haha! @DVCFan1994 -- You were right-- no sweeping. It was totally relaxed! Thank you so much for tipping me off to that!

Eating at Disney was (as expected) a disaster, but I am please to report that as of this morning I am actually down by 0.3 lb. This is clearly evidence that Disney magic does indeed exist!

Anyway, back on the tracking train today... Happy Monday!
