I agree with MGM not having a good CS, in fact I was just telling a friend in NY that I couldn't think of a descent place there to eat, we normally end up just doing a TS.

But to answer OP

at MGM we always end up at Pizza Planet. The food isn't bad, especially when you're used to burgers and chicken as many of the CS meals, and the atmosphere was cute if you like Toy Story or have kids with you. The cookies were tastey too! We don't usually do much dining at MGM...

My DBF would kill me if I didn't recommend Cosmic Rays at MK. They have a great variety and a really yummy 1/2 rotisserie chicken! A nice change from the typical chicken strips found anywhere.

mmmm... now i'm hungry for some Disney dining!!

Boy O Boy, I cannot wait to get to the World! When we went last time, we did not find much at MGM either, and actually were very disappointed in that park. Oh well. We did eat at one place there, that was horrible, but cannot remember the name.

I thought the Yak & Yeti was going to be TS only?

Seems I remember reading somewhere that the Y&Y was going to have a counter-service component. But I woudn't go to the mat over it ... gotta do a little research.

It's good to have another TS option at AK.

A couple of other favorite CS spots: Wolfgang Puck Express is in a league of its own. We also like Sommerfest, Columbia Harbor House, and Flame Tree.

In addition to the T-Rex concept, Landry's has acquired the majority interest in Schussler Creative's new Asian themed eatery (which is expected to open by summer 2007) inside Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. This Asian-themed restaurant with retail is reminiscent of the western Himalayan foothills in India and Nepal, featuring a rural village called Anandapur in a jungle with a tiny town-like mass at its center. Asia will offer full service table dining, as well as quick service food. This Asian-Fusion concept will feature Asian decor, complete with Asian antiques, as well as a retail component that will offer Asian goods ranging from Sushi plates to chopsticks and fine teapots.

We have 2 top CS places:

WPE @ DTD - the best child's pizza you will ever eat. For adults we love the warm BBQ chicken sandwich. We can eat here multiple times while on vacation.

Sunshine Seasons @ Epcot - the best variety that a CS can offer. The desserts are to die for the butterfinger cheesecake is so yummy! Here you can anything other than typical CS burger type food. Our favorite out of any of the parks.

MK - We like Casey's because you can get a really good hot dog and their corndog nuggets are good too. The shoestring style fries make me think of when I was a kid and what my mom would make.

MGM - we always end up at ABC Commissary. We always have a good CS meal, never leave hungry and everyone is satisfied.

AK - Flame Tree BBQ.

MK- Pinocchio Haus for pizza and panini sandwiches; Cosmic Rays for rotisserie chicken and ribs

Epcot- Cantina De San Angel, Tangierine Cafe, the Fish & Chips stand in UK, and the brat stand in Germany

AK- Flame Tree BBQ for BBQ and Tusker House for the salmon, chicken, and salads

MGM- they are all pretty meh- Backlot Express was OK. We are almost never at MGM long enough for a meal, and when we are, we do TS.

DTD- Wolfgang Puck Express for pizza and Earl od Sandwich for the awesome sandwiches and salads- they also have the Earl Gray tea mixed with lemonade thet is very refreshing

Resorts- nothing really stands out for us. We usually don't eat CS at our resort if we can help it- too many fun places in the parks to try.

CBR has a TS, Shutters at Old Port Royale, and a CS food court, Old Port Royale.

Oh, no! I'm sorry you are having all that yucky weather. I won't mention that it is in the high 60's and partly sunny here in NC .

One thing that makes it confusing is that both TS and CS at CBR have almost the same name. I had to look it up myself!!

Lessee, at MK, hubby and kids swear by Cosmic Rays... that was the day I went shopping at DTD with a friend, then got Yakatori House for lunch. And that was good. We ate a lot at Epcot actually, the Patisserie is great, I loved Norway's TS (if for no other reason than the school bread), Mexico's TS was delish too.

MGM, we loved Pizza Planet. It's really not bad for a pizza joint and the kids loved the place. Um, we did Backlot Express there too and enjoyed it. Seriously hated ABC Commissary.

AK, we were only there one day and went to Tusker House, which we really liked a lot. Going to try Flame Tree this next time around.

We grabbed Earl of Sandwich with the last of our CS on the way home, but bleh, it's just a sammich.

Come to think of it, we spent a load of time eating in Epcot. Hehe. We did more TS in MK than CS. I think we have Cosmic Rays and Pecos Bill on the list for this next trip.

Our favourite CS include:

MK: CHH - DH, DD18 & DS15 all enjoy the chicken strips & fries combo and I always go for the 1/2 sandwich (Anchors Aweigh ~ tuna salad with tomato and lettuce) and cup of soup (clam chowder = yummy!)

Cosmic Rays - the chicken and rib combo plate is a great value, more than enough food for 2.

MGM: Not many great choices here, but we've always enjoyed the Backlot Express. DH and DS always get the double cheeseburgers, DD the hot dog and I enjoy the grilled turkey and cheese sandwich. Pretty standard stuff, but good and filling. We're going to try the chicken caesar wraps at the Flatbread Grill next time, I've heard they're pretty good.

AK: Tusker House - Love this place!! The rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies is awesome! The rest of the family always get the fried chicken sandwich and rave about it. Their desserts are really good too. We've had the chocolate cake, carrot cake and cheesecake and all were delicious. They're not prepackaged as in most CS places, but are actual slices of cake. Mmmmm!

Epcot: In FW we like Sunshine Seasons for the variety, everyone can usually find something they like. The food has always been very fresh. In WS we enjoy the Cantina de San Angel in Mexico (nachos and churros), Tangierene Cafe in Morocco (schawarma platters), Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the UK (Harry Ramsden's fish & chips), and the bakeries in Norway and France.

DTD: You can't go wrong at Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express!

MrsB1228 I read on another post today that the Tusker House has went to prepackaged desserts. I hope it not true but I have a feeling it is.

Our choices:

MK: We have had good CS at Pecos Bills and Columbia harbour House

Epcot The various countries have good options. I have read so many positive reviews about Sunshine in Futureworld we're giving it a try in June.
