No more smoking or vaping in the parks

Unfortunately, people will move to smoke in the bathrooms, thats why all the arenas made accommodations. Those that didn't, still have smokers in the bathrooms.
This is very true. And what can Cast Members do about it? Nothing. You can't open a stall door when someone is in it. And you can't prove that someone was smoking behind closed doors (even thought it is very obvious). I promise, the bathrooms are going to be filled with smoke.

I hate cigarette smoke. With that being said, I knew to avoid the smoking sections while at Disney. I think Disney is making a huge mistake getting rid of the DSAs.

If smoking in the bathroom becomes a problem, enough non-smokers will complain and Disney will have to do something. Nobody is going to tolerate walking their children in to a smoke filled bathroom every time they need to go, and I bet their voices will be much louder than the smokers who are complaining and threatening to not go to WDW anymore.
Disney will have to make a decision, either get serious about enforcement or bring back the DSA for the entitled jerks who have no respect.

Ladies, I clicked the "Best Dresses for Older Women" link and it led to links for 10 more sites. Choosing the resulting "Best Dresses for Women Over 60" and scrolling a bit produced this outcome. I'll bet most 60+ DIS women would rock this look.

I could totally rock that!!! Because I would look like a lumpy pile of rocks... :rolleyes2

Swap smokes for a.hip flask and do you still feel the same?

Apples to oranges unless they're going to start selling smokes in the DSAs. Someone who wants a drink can buy one in the parks. The hip flask is against the rules not because alcohol is prohibited but because letting people bring their own cuts into Disney's profits and opens up potential liability issues.

Remember the song, smokin’ In the boys room?

Folks are going to stink coming out like smoke. Maybe the doors to the stalls need to come off.

Alcohol is not sold in Disneyland, guests have to exit to purchase at either DTD or enter DCA to.buy a drink.

And they do allow other things that cut into profit, we can bring in water and food.

How does this work on airplanes?
The new way is to use e cigarettes, but thats baned also.
The old way , for airplanes was to cover the smoke detector and blow the smoke out the constant vent in the restroom. ( i got that from the flight attendents.

Let him who is witout sin , and all that lol. No one is perfect. Just remember everyone has there own demons to face. It is what it is , and only time will tell how it will play out. All were doing now is speculating on what may occur. Im thinking most will follow the rules, but others will not. There not smoking where they should be now, so there braking the rules. Why does anyone think that these people will follow the new rules? To me it comes down to rude people that dont consider others, in life you will meet a lot of them.

I also never smoked in my life, lost a grandfather to smoking and yet I too think this is a bad idea and will lead to problems. Yes, the smoking areas could have been better set up and better enforced, that's definitely true, but I think that is still a better alternative than banning smoking from the parks entirely. People go to the parks for 10-12 hours a day, and some places have a LONG distance to the front of the park (Although I would guess maybe for Epcot they'll have an option on the international gateway?)

I feel sorry for the CM's who now have a lot more rules they're supposed to contend with. People will probably try to smoke on the monorails or the gondolas on their way to the parks now :sad2:

I was shaking my head that people even thought to cover the smoke detector and blow towards the vent.
I don't smoke , so I hope your post was not directed at me in a snarky way. :tiptoe:

Definetly not snarky or directed at anyone in particular. Its just basicly how it is. I see lots poo poo the smokers, yes im one of them, the smokers. Its not like i want to be one, but for some its hard to quit. And i know the consequences, and feel for those that lost love ones , and saw them suffer. But thats the thing with an addiction, its addicting!

Oh , the people that did do that were the flight attendants, they had an addiction also. It was after they stopped the smoking on the plaines in the 1980s 90s, idr.
