Sorry if this has been asked previously, but i'm doing the majority of the planning for our December trip, and i've been on and off the phones making minor tweaks to our reservations. I haven't gotten that line that makes our planning much more excitable. Has anyone else noticed they don't say "Have a Magical Day" anymore?

I was on the phone today and they didn't even have any hold music. It was just silent and I was wondering if I had been disconnected. No "Magical Day" for me either :(

I had the holding music, it was when I was on the line for Tickets. I remember it because of the Three Caballeros music, that got stuck in my head.

Of the last 7 phone calls I've done with my planning, I have had 2 'Have a Magical Days', 2 'Where we are celebrating', and 1 rather impersonal CM who happened to be the person calling in response to an email I sent re: getting wrong information from a reservations agent.

Sadly, I feel like even the magic of Disney is starting to show the wear of the current state of the world. :sad2:

In our recent planning for our upcoming trip, I have made several phone calls to make payments/changes, etc...and each time I have had the piano "Hakuna Matata" hold music and each CM has told me to "have a magical day", they also continuously refer to my DD's as "Princess XXX". The magic is still there. :goodvibes

I was on the phone with Disney two days ago and the CM I spoke with was very friendly and told me to have a magical day as well. Oh, And there was music while I was on hold, for my 10 year old dd gave me a funny look as I was swaying to it!:woohoo:

I have always gotten very nice CMs and have always been told to have a magical day :). I called just last week to make a change to my reservation and I got a very nice CM who not only told me to have a magical day, but to have a great weekend as well :goodvibes.

I've been noticing the same thing.... rarely a "magical day" offered. I thought I was just being silly that I noticed... glad it isn't just me.

And to everyone that reads this post.... Have a magical day! pixiedust:

:goodvibes

Out of the TONS of calls I made, I only experienced that on one - I am nosey and always ask if the CM I am talking to is based in Florida and then I get excited for them because they are so near the magic ... however, the one time I didn't get the usual Disney treatment was when the CM was based in the Mid-West call center.

I wonder if location has anything to do with it? Just a thought.

I thought I was hung up on and ended up calling back only to be put back in the bottom of the line. Who would have thought I would miss hold music.

I've only called twice now. But each time I got a great CM on the phone. "How can I throw some pixie dust on your day?" (lol i think I quoted that wrong) Whatever she said it was cute. I changed my ressie the other day and the lady was awesome. And I also had hold music cause it was the "yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me" cause I was singing along.

ETA: the lady the other day was really nice and even said "Well I know it's still a year away but we can't WAIT to have you guys here for your first trip!" :)

I'd rather have someone who is nice throughout the call and who helps me quickly and correctly then worry about a simple phrase. Yes, I am sure sometimes they forget. They are not perfect.

I have had the BEST CMs on the phone every time I have had to call about this vacation and while I was looking into DVC information. They have all been wonderful, polite, fun to talk to, and knowledgeable. They have all gone out of their ways to make sure I had a great experience.

Not one of them said "Have a magical day."

But I don't care.... I didn't even notice it until I thought back on it now.

I just want somebody thats fast and efficient. I really don't care if they are friendly or not. I just want to get the change made, and get off the phone. I am not really that big on "scripted" lines. It all seems kind of phony.

Call to make reservation, call to ask about possibility of adding a second adult, call to upgrade 'free dining' to DxDP, and call to actually add second adult -- all wished me a magical day. :wizard:

I've always gotten the 'have a magical day' when I call Disney. In fact yesterday I went in to the Disney store at the mall and after I paid for my purchases the clerk said 'have a magical day'. It almost made me tear up, missing my Dis so much.

I've called twice recently to see about changing a resort reservation. I have no idea if the CMs said "have a magical day or not" :confused3 but I will say that both were *extremely* friendly. I kept them both on the phone for a bit while I had them run through all the options available to me with my discount, and they couldn't have been nicer. So regardless of whether or not they said those words, the fact that they were friendly, helpful & courteous left me feeling the magic. :thumbsup2

I called to change an ADR the other day and not getting a "have a magical day!" at the end of the call was only part of the problem. The CM I talked to sounded so low-energy and mush-mouthed that he sounded both bored and not a little imposed-upon by my call. Very un-Disney.

I would have given him a low rating in the post-call survey, but for some reason it didn't come on -- just dead air afterwards. Darn!

I've called about three times over the past six months to make some changes to my ressie, and all times, the CM said "have a magical day".

Don't get me wrong, I like the fast and efficient, the only time I called was to check on room reservations because the online couldn't find it or to add fridges or room requests, or calling to ask if my military tickets could be added to KTTW cards. All stuff that I don't want to sit on the line for hours for. But the line just makes me realize that Disney is getting closer and closer. But i guess as a PP said that it depends on the location of the call center.
