Just got home from work and was thrilled to see the summer edition of my Disney magazine had arrived, until I saw the cover. Now I am not a happy camper. As I did not want either of the other magazines offered, I called customer service and she told me that I would receive a refund check within the next 4 weeks for the 4 year renewal I just paid for and the unused issues. I'm really disappointed as I loved getting this magazine and kept all the issues.

What magazine was it? Did they stop printing Disney Magazine and replace it with something else?? Saying isn't so :guilty: :earseek: I just renewed myself as I would definitely be asking for a refund?? What's up?

I am , I think value will really go up.Still sorry they decided to stop printing it.

Yes the Disney magazine has ceased publication. You can transfer your remaining issues to either family fun magazine or Disney adventures magazine.

I chose a refund because I don't like those other ones. They said 4-6 weeks I should receive it.

I only just started my subsciption a year ago. I really enjoyed my 4 copies, and it's too bad the magazine is no more. :( I will definitely save the 4 I got. I save everything Disney!

Maybe if we all ask for the refund we will prove a point?

I just got my copy as well and saw that it was the last copy. I'm so sad :sad2: I really liked getting it and reading it from cover to cover!!!

I still can't believe Disney magazine is no more! I know it was sorta kinda a big advertisement, but I prefer Disney ads to any other kind! :(

I know they said the internet was too much competition, but I LOVED reading all the behind the scenes stuff and the interviews with Imagineers and the sneak peeks at upcoming Disney movies or attractions, ect...I always loved the reader's letters and pictures of hidden Mickeys too. :(

I am SO sad Disney made this decision. I've looked at the other two magazines they are offering and neither is Disney-fied enough for me, so I won't be getting either one.

Yeah I'm sad too. Just got my final copy yesterday and even though I knew it was coming I am still sad about it. We've been getting it for years so we will really miss it. The funny thing is I cancelled my subscription to Family Fun a few months ago and now their are asking me to get it again. No, I just want my Disney Magazine!!!

ya can't always take the internet along with you. it was nice to have a disney magazine to schelp along to doctor's appointments, onto a plane or wherever i might be going.

how sad. :(

I know...how sad is this? I loved that magazine and will miss it greatly. I have learned so much from the articles over the years. I received my last one in the mail yesterday as a matter of fact.

:guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

I am seriously bummed! I love that magazine! I've subscribed for years. I don't care for the other two options so I'll be asking for a refund as well.

OMGosh, what horrible news. My mail hasn't come yet.

I was hoping to get my ds in the magazine after my July trip since my dd is in the Fall 2003 issue.

What are they going to take away from us next? First the Magic Kingdom Club, then the Disney Club & now the magazine....oy!

I am really bummed about this too!!! :guilty: I heard rumors on the rumor board here, but I was praying it was wrong. :guilty: I do get the other two magazines already, but I think I will cancel all of them now. :sad2: We really didn't like family fun and advertures, but the kids had a magazine sale and we needed to buy something. I will treasure the 12 copies I have and hope that some kind of something comes out. (hey, a girl can dream-- can't she???) :earsgirl:

with losing the Disney magazine.

I started getting them after our first on site stay at the CBR in 1990 (I have every issue since!!)

What next? First it was the Magic Kingdom

then TDS started looking more like just your basic kid store. Very little for adults. I used to like going just to get my Dis fix and watch the screen in the front of the store that showed the Disney parks. even the CM arent the same (still they went through alot after being bought out by Childrens Place) but it was always fun talking with them about trip stories or whats new at the parks. Now your lucky if you get a "HI"

Im glad I have our vacations taped as well as the holdiay parades and shows from the travel channel I can watch when I need my fix!!!

and now no more magazine!!!!

whats a girl to do???????

That's what I did. Called them today and asked for my refund and then said "oh, and by the way, in protest I'd like to cancel my Family Fun and Disney Adventures subscriptions too!" HA! Actually the lady told me I didn't even HAVE a Disney Adventures subscription, that it expired in 2003. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I have received it since then, just got one the other day.

I'd thrown out old issues of the Disney magazine --otherwise clutter seems to reproduce around this house. Now I'm a bit sad I did. :(

DISNEY, hear this....bring back Disney magazine....
and Tapestry of Nations while you're at it! :)

This is an article that gives the reason why it's ceasing publication.

I wish they would realize that many people like a hard copy to read. Sure, the internet is great for info but it's kinda hard or inconvenient to take your computer with you to the pool, the waiting room at the doctor or dentist office, or (ahem) the "john"... :teeth: .

:sad2:
I was upset also. I've always wanted Disney magazine and finally convinced my mom I could get it. This was only my second issue!
