No more bottled water at Poly concierge!

Just returned from a week at the Poly in Hawaii and there is no more water bottles (plastic Dansai) in the lounge to take with you to the parks (or of course just drink in the lounge ). I asked the CM there and she told me they just contracted with another food company and the water bottles would no longer be available! (This was the case all week- not a one day/1 CM incident). There are 1 liter GLASS bottles they chill and place out on the counter (3 at a time) to drink from. I did see one person filling their plastic water jugs with them! Oh well, hope they go back to their old distributer- I ended up buying lots of water! My DH thinks its a good story to get rid of the water bottles without saying- "We changed our policy to save money". So, wanted to give a heads up to anyone heading out- the extra cost of concierge will not save you any $ on water!

Could you take the big glass bottles back to the room with you ? We depended on the waters for meds in the room. Sounds stupid, but I will really miss those plastic waters !
Did they still have the big barrel full of sodas ?

LeslieM- I brought back 1 bottle/night to my room so there would be something for my boys to drink (didn't like the taste of the tap water). There are usually 3bottles out on ceramic cooler sleeves- sometimes I had to ask for a new bottle since the others would be open from people pouring out glasses. You could also ask for bottles of Perrier- they would get those out of the back. All bottles are glass- so a pain/dissapointment if you were hoping to have plastic bottles for the parks. There are TONS of soda cans on ice in a barrel (coke products- regular, diet and sprite).

I think this is terrible. I hope they change back. Don't forget to mention that on your survey. I do not get to go back till 2005 so maybe the water bottles will be back then.

I was told 2 months ago by YC concierge planner that no concierge will be carrying bottle water in the future. I guess she was right!

I can't imagine that there is any food distributer that doesn't carry bottled water. I think it's a load of crap. Just another way for Disney to make more money & you to spend more!
Just bring your own, I guess.
