No Laundry On Vacation!

My wife wants to do laundry on our upcoming 2-week WDW trip. I say pack enough underwear for 14 days, air out everything else if needed, and move on. Laundry is work, and there's no room for work at WDW. Spend time having fun and making family memories, not separating lights from darks. Who's with me???:cheer2:

Too Funny! :rotfl2:
I actually now LIKE to get the laundry (for 2 week or more vacations) done for several reasons:
much LESS to pack
much LESS to deal with on our return home
I ENJOY the down time, late at night, or Real early am, ALL BY MYSELF, throw that load in, grab a drink ;) or magazine and RELAX and UNwind....
I bring one of those POP up laundry basket things, and bring it down, do the laundry and WahLa no worries, simple and easy.......

ANd I am one of those that would never cook or clean or camp or do ANYthing like work on a vacation, NOPE! Yet, laundry to me....is relaxing time...'specially with that drink :rotfl2:

I have 4 kids. One is an infant, one is a toddler and one can't eat without spilling food on himself. I can't imagine the number of bags I'd have to pack and check to go 14 days without doing laundry.

DO laundry!!! It doesn't take much to do a load every 2 nights. I HATE coming home from vacation and everyone filling up the laundry bins (one for whites, one for colors, and one for towels) and then having to spend the next two days working my A off trying to get all the laundry done from the trip on top of working full-time!! NOT FUN!!!

I also do laundry on vacation and would probably do it TWICE on a 14-day vacation. I do it so I don't have to hire a Sherpa to bring my luggage to the room. We try to pack in only 1 bag per person even if we can check bags.

By now you're probably regretting starting this thread! :rotfl2: For me it's no cooking on vacation, but planning to do a couple loads of laundry. DH and I went to WDW in August a few years ago. It was so hot that we were covered in sweat as we walked into the parks, and I wanted to just keep wearing the 3 tank tops I brought over and over. We happened to be staying at a Vacation Club on that trip (a gift from DSIL & DBIL) and were SO HAPPY to have a washer and dryer. This time we will be staying at the Pop, but plan to use the laundry there part way through the trip. We've never used the public laundry at WDW, but hopefully it won't be too big of a deal to wash some things while we hang at the pool.

Just avoid heading for the laundry facilities shortly after park closing. It's usually packed! *LOL*

I"ve just recently started doing laundry on vacations and found that I actually like the down time it gives me. It's nice packing less and having less to unpack when I get home and coming home with clean clothes is great. It really doesnt take long to do the laundry on the trip and with the increased baggage fees the airlines are imposing its just about inevitable these days
