I was happy to see the Universal store when we arrived at MCO because I knew I could find something there if I needed to. :thumbsup2

Sorry I've been MIA this week... Hopefully I'll get to my trip recap & final thoughts later this week. I'm procrastinating... :rolleyes1

We've been busy with the final weekend of soccer yesterday & yard work today. It's supposed to rain for the next couple of days so we needed to get the leaves picked up! The boys even helped out this year. :thumbsup2

Here are a few pictures from Halloween:

I've also been working on the calendars I make for my Dmom and DMIL every year for Christmas. These are the pages I have completed, two of each:

So that's what's been keeping me so busy! Hope you are all enjoying fall before things get too crazy with the holidays! Be back soon with the recap!

Your boys are so cute in their costumes!
I'm sad that Halloween is over. It went too fast!
The calendar is just beautiful. Love it!

Whew! So glad you got your package! I was worried there...

What a gorgeous day you had... the sky was so blue!

Sighing because it's over, but looking forward to the re-cap! :thumbsup2

Thank you!! I agree - the Halloween season flew by... but I suspect Thanksgiving & Christmas are going to be here and gone just as quickly!

Kathy

The sky was beautiful blue the whole time we were there. It was cloudy when we landed at MCO but by the time we got to BWI it was sunny!

The end is always sad, but I'm spoiled this year with two more trips in the works!

Alex is very oppositional & always wants to be the bad guy or root for the team that's playing against the home team! Darth Vader was a perfect costume for him!

Thanks Missy!! I never take the time to scrapbook for myself so making the calendars is just as much for me as it is for them! I'm proud of myself for getting an early start this year. :thumbsup2

Aww...love the boys Halloween costumes!!:goodvibes

The calendar looks great!!!!What a good idea!!:thumbsup2

You put on one of the belly dancer outfits first then we'll see if any of us follow... :rolleyes1 Or you could go with that instead of a kimono! :rotfl:

hahaha ;)

love the dual versions of Vader...too clever! and :worship: in love w/ your calendar pages great job!

The calendars you are making are beautiful Amy! What a great gift! The boys Halloween costumes are great, I like the picture of them battling out in the yard, Classic! I am glad they "found" your package, that would have been a bummer to not get it! Great last day at Epcot, we have never done a park like that on the last day, it seems like a lot of fun and a great chance to get to do some missed attractions!

Wow those calendars are great:thumbsup2 What a great gift. I used to send away for a calendar for my MIL that had a different picture of the boys for each month. She LOVED it but now they are older so no more calendars. But you making them makes them that more special. Good job on the early start:thumbsup2

The boys' costumes are awesome!! Your house looks like it was decorated really nicely too for Halloween. :)

Okay I am still reading along here, but did just see your pics of the calendar, gosh such a nice job you did! Really neat. I remember seeing your images from last year!

Okay, Im going back to reading! :surfweb:

Amy I LOVE those calendar pages! If I email you a bunch of photos, can you make one for me too? (just kidding!)

Sorry I got behind again  ...... the Halloween costumes are great!

Skateboarding huh? How's he doing with it? I remember skateboarding when I was a kid down the hill outside my house -- so fun and just a teeny bit thrilling wondering if you were going to crash at the bottom. :rotfl:

Thanks Julie!! Zach was actually Luke not Anakin but there was definitely a theme of The Force vs. The Dark Side!

Hi Beth!! Thanks for the compliments!! :goodvibes

We've never done a park on the last day of a family trip. We'll be trying it out on our upcoming family trip in March! We'll see how it goes... :confused3

Thanks Doreen! The only problem with the calendars is that it's become tradition... I think they'd be disappointed if I didn't make them.

Thanks Kelli!

Good memory!! I've been making these calendars for several years now. You're back just in time for my wrap up!

Amy I LOVE those calendar pages! If I email you a bunch of photos, can you make one for me too? (just kidding!)

Yes - skateboarding! :scared1: He's just getting the basics down... He's only allowed to ride on the street with an adult out there with him, but he's been trying out some tricks in the back yard! ;)

Overall we had an amazing trip!! It was a MUCH needed break for both of us, but Laura’s going through some tough stuff personally and she REALLY needed the break! We never got on each other’s nerves through the whole weekend – or at least she never got on my nerves. ;) We had perfect weather & the crowds weren't too bad considering it was the opening weekend of the Food & Wine Festival and the Wine & Dine half-marathon!

There were so many highs & so few lows for this trip! Here's a recap of each day...

Lows:
Day one: Loud, squished flight down, day one foot problems for Laura, a few love bugs
Day Two: I don’t know that there were any!!! We were BEAT by the time we went to bed… but it helped me sleep like a baby!
Day Three: Buses! Not the best at BWI! No lunch
Day Four: Missing package & going home!

Highs:
Day One: Checking in at BWI – room ready!!! Fantasmic & TSM, boat ride to & from DHS
Day Two: Gorgeous weather, walking to the International Gateway, walking through the WS before it opened, visiting all of my favorite FW attractions, visiting much of the WS, Illuminations from our room!!
Day Three: Breakfast, DTD & MK!!
Day Four: Another great Epcot day! Great flight home!

Staying at BWI was amazing & being able to walk to Epcot was the cake & the icing on top! We spent half of our trip at Epcot & enjoyed every minute of it. I was able to explore the WS in a way I never have before – we took time to visit each country and see many of the details I’d never had the opportunity to see before. Laura loved Epcot too, even declaring, “I love Epcot!” on our first Epcot day.

I would easily do this same trip over again if given the chance!! It was a great opportunity to experience Disney in a whole new way.

So what do we have in the works? As you know I have two other trips planned for early 2011. January 20 – 23 with the Spectrum Moms thanks to an invitation from KathyRN! And February 24 – March 6 with my family thanks to me! Ha! Links to both PTRs are in my signature if you want to follow along!

Laura has a maybe trip in the works for our school February vacation as well!! She made a reservation at POR with free dining! I made a few ADRs for her since she's not very optimistic that they'll be able to keep the reservation. She didn't want to get too far into the planning and be disappointed if they had to cancel. But being an Obsessive Disney Planner, I couldn't let too much time pass by without her having ADRs, so I made some for her. :rolleyes1 Pixie Dust to Laura pixiedust: that they will be able to keep the trip!

Thanks for reading along!! It was great to have so many readers including a lot of new ones!

I really enjoyed your trip report. I loved your recap. It sounded like such a wonderful trip! And you are so fortunate to have two more trips right around the corner. That is so awesome!

I wish I could see the Halloween costumes but I am on a restricted computer that doesn't have access to all photo sites. Bummer.

Anyway - thanks again for the enjoyable read!

Just catching up.....

Love the Halloween pics. Daniel is a complete SW nut! He was Jango Fett this year (and last year too, lol).

The scrapbook calendar pages are amazing!! I made photo calendars for my parents and MIL last year with all the family holidays noted. They were a big hit! Happy though as it can be a yearly gift for people that are so very hard to buy for. ;)

The recap was great, so glad you had such a nice trip. Our January trip is a first 'girls' trip for me and I'm very much looking forward to seeing/trying new things I don't get to with the kids in tow.
