No kids, no husbands & no rain! Girls weekend at BWI! - NEW 11/12 p16 -The End!

Great pictures of BWI. :thumbsup2 I hope you do get to do the pick your own pearl sometime. I love my necklace and it always makes me think of that trip. :goodvibes

So sad it's almost over. :(

We were sad it was almost over... especially Laura. It was a bit easier for me with two other trips planned.

I hope I follow through with the pick a pearl in Feb/March!

Judging by the way you wrote it, I am very worried about those packages on their way to the International Gateway! :scared:

:rolleyes1

The Living with the Land line is nuts!!!

I have looked at those Japenese socks before. They are so strange looking. lol!!!

I am worried about the packages too. Ugh. Update please!! :)

I know... I didn't think it was possible for Living with the Land to have such a long line!

The socks were funny! She wore them on Halloween... very cute!

After lunch it was on to the UK!

We saw Mary:

And Alice:

We explored, browsed the shops:

Then we ran into these guys:

We stopped at the phone booths & I tested out the phone numbers I had seen here on the DIS & called Laura. The booth I tried worked! I’ll definitely have some fun with the kids in March!

We decided to skip over Canada for now to use our Soarin’ FPs. We loved Soarin’ again. We were the end of the middle row in the middle section.

We still had plenty of time so we stopped to visit with Figment.

I thought I had seen it before but I had no recollection of the ride whatsoever so I guess I hadn’t. It was cute but not a must-see. We were starting to get a bit tight on time so we skipped Captain EO – hopefully I can see it in January. We visited the tucked-away bathroom & then headed to Canada.

Continued from previous post...

We ended up skipping O’Canada because we had just missed it & were starting to worry about time. We explored the grounds & checked out the shops & I bought a couple things.

This is where I want to sit to watch Illuminations in Feb/March! Well maybe a little closer, but from one of the higher areas of Canada.

After Canada it was time to make our way back to the IG to pick up our packages. It was about 3:45.

We ran into Mary & Alice again:

And that’s it for pictures…

As you may have guessed, one of the packages wasn’t there! Laura’s package from France was there, but my package from Morocco wasn’t! At first the CM was trying to convince me it hadn’t been three hours yet. Once she figured out it had been, she made a phone call then disappeared outback. When she came back she had my package. She said it had just been delivered, but I suspect she just missed it the first time she looked.

With our packages in hand, we left Epcot & strolled back to BWI. We collected our carry-on bags & found a bench to re-organize. Laura sat with our stuff & I walked over to Boardwalk Bakery to get us each a soda with our refillable mugs. We sat for a bit longer, took turns using the restroom then walked over to the ME pick up area. There were a bunch of people there wearing medals from the half marathon. I don’t think there were any kids on our bus either. Our bus arrived at 4:20 and headed straight to the airport without any other stops.

Once we made it to the airport we stopped at the Universal store (shhh…).

I wanted to grab a SpongeBob plush for Zach. I got him Patrick too.

100_2622.jpg

We browsed through the Disney store too, but didn’t see anything new that we had to have. I looked at a couple travel mugs for my mom, but they were all damaged??

After shopping we tackled the very long security line. Luckily it moved along & we were through before we knew it. I forgot to take my baggie of liquids out of my bag but they didn’t notice. We grabbed some snacks & magazines and found our gate. Before boarding they announced that there were only 92 passengers and 45 open seats so we could feel free to “stretch out!!” Laura & I grabbed seats near the front of the plane – she took the aisle & I took the window. Not only did we get to stretch out but we arrived in Manchester 32 minutes early!!! Our bags came out quickly & we were in the car on our way home by 10pm! (Our scheduled arrived was 10:10pm!)

Day Four Recap: Today we wrestled with the luggage, checked out, explored BWI then spent the day at Epcot!

Highs: Another great Epcot day! Great flight home!
Lows: The missing package & going home! :sad1:

Up next: Trip recap!

I was behind, but all caught up now!

What are the numbers for the phone booths in the UK? I've never heard about those before!

Love the Sasquatch spit soap. :lmao: Soooo funny!

Despite the fact that we have to go home eventually, your last 2 days have been a lot of fun! You packed a ton in. Sorry to hear about the canceled tea though! But, it sounds like it was for the best - next time, right? :goodvibes

Glad the bag turned up. :thumbsup2 And very cool that you had such a nice flight back home. That always helps with the sadness of leaving Disney. :(

Was it hard leaving Epcot on such a gorgeous day? We have never done a park on our departure day and I think it would be so tough to leave once you were there. :( Reading it makes me sad!

I'm so happy your package turned up. How nerve wracking though, cutting it so close with having to leave? Ack!

I LOVE flights that are underbooked. So, so nice!!!

Ahhhh....Morocco! :lovestruc

I LOVE the WS! Your pictures are beautiful. :goodvibes

So sad your little girls getaway is coming to an end...can't wait to hear the wrap up!

I fell way behind (darn life getting in the way of my DISing ;)) but I'm all caught up now.

I am impressed with how much you two got done in that weekend! It's exhausting just reading about it.

So glad the package finally turned up, that would have been stressful.

And sorry Julie but there is no way anyone needs to see me in a belly dancer outfit. They'd run screaming. :rotfl2:

Glad your package was there!!

Beautiful pics of WS. That soap is too funny. I don't think we shopped in Canada last May:confused3

Sounds like you had a great "last day".

Whew! Thank goodness that package turned up!!!

Love the Goofy and the Sasquatch sweat soap.

I knew Disney would take good care of us & I'd end up with my package at some point, but I was still getting nervous since it was so close to our ME bus time.

I was behind, but all caught up now!

We had so much fun!!

I stumbled across the phone numbers for the booths in the UK somewhere here on the DIS. They are:

Left - 407-827-9862
Middle - 407 - 827-9863
Right - 407-827-9861

Give them a try! :thumbsup2

I knew I had a busy week & weekend coming up so I wanted to get everything posted while I could.

You put on one of the belly dancer outfits first then we'll see if any of us follow... :rolleyes1 Or you could go with that instead of a kimono! :rotfl:

Glad the bag turned up. :thumbsup2 And very cool that you had such a nice flight back home. That always helps with the sadness of leaving Disney. :(

It was such a smooth trip home!! A nice way to return to reality! :goodvibes

It was hard leaving Epcot but it was nearing 4:00 so at least we'd had a pretty full day to explore. And we'd had a great weekend!

I hate when life gets in the way of important things like DISing! I hope all is well in your world!

The weather really cooperated with us... it wasn't too hot & it stayed dry so we were able to get a lot done without too many breaks. :thumbsup2

Glad your package was there!!

Beautiful pics of WS. That soap is too funny. I don't think we shopped in Canada last May:confused3

Sounds like you had a great "last day".

I think that was the first time I had been very far into Canada. I'd never even seen the falls! :scared1:
