No FP for A&E, Getting in line after BBB?? Help.

So we have an appointment for my daughter at the BBB the Friday we are there which will be day 7 of our trip so the end. Thats the day I want her to meet A&E. IF we cant get a FP for them which I am not holding my breath d you think its possible we'd get in line with a decent wait right after her BBB appointment. Considering its super close by. I believe her appointment is at 8:15 and its a 9am opening day on December 12th. I did the most expensive package but I am thinking I might call and go down a package or two and bring her own dress to save time. We went before and were there a long time but she did the big package and it was mid day and crowded. I'd think she wouldn't wait long since she's getting in really early. Do you all think we could be out of there by 9 if not before if I choose the smaller package and saved time by not having to pick out the dress and all that? I really want her to meet them there and there's just no way we can wait 2-3 hours for that. I really hope being back in the park at opening is an advantage. Anyone know how early people do get in line since there are ADR people in the park early as well? Maybe my husband can go get in line before we get out of BBB?

You most likely will not get out by 9:00. Even being there pre-rope drop, they need to check everyone in, etc. Maybe soon after 9:00 but the A&E dash will most likely have happened by then. It's a tough one. We couldn't get A&E FPP this trip either.

Maybe you could go as early as possible... like try to get into MK at 7:30 so that you'll be close to the front of the check-in line for pre-rope drop. Maybe if you are one of the first to be checked in they can start before 8:15.

I'll just really hope you get a FP+ , because what you are hoping to do sounds so stressful, even if you are able to pull it off. Not a lot of fun, and takes away from the excitement. If you don't get a FP+, then you can start planning alternatives. I guess cutting stuff out of the BBB makeover would cut time off, but it might cut the enjoyment of it for your daughter too, if she is used to getting the whole package.

It sounds like from previous threads that by day 5/6 availability for A&E FP+ opens up. I would think you have a good shot at this. Now if you were saying day 1 or 2, I'd be a little more pessimistic. Fingers crossed for ya OP.

Well she's only done it once and this time I know she'll want an Elsa dress most likely so having that prior may be our only option as I can imagine its not always there in all sizes so I think we will prob get the dress earlier anyways. She doesn't know were going but I am going to kinda ask her what if and see what she says.

If you don't get FPs, and you have to head to standby after BBB, you could probably let the CM know at BBB that you're really trying to head over to A & E after and maybe they'll be a little faster for you.

If rope drop isn't until 9 and were out of BBB prior or right at 9 id think we would have a good chance getting in line? Especially if we go with a lesser package and it saves time bc she's already dressed? Maybe? Also couldn't I send DH and DS to leave earlier than us like 10 min before she's done?

I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure I have read you cannot join others in the line at A&E, because of the way it is set up.

Try for the fastpass My window opened up on Friday night, and I was able to get FP+ for 7!!! People...I started on our last day (day 10) and had no issue, choice of time. I tried on day 8 as well, and again had CHOICE of times for 7 people! On our 3 day of the trip I was able to get 2 fastpasses (one, and copy plans for the 2nd one). So you will have a chance, hold out and see what happens.

Meanwhile for me, we are letting go the 2 individual ones, and holding the day 8 passes AND the day 10 If we have any FP glitches, I don't want to have NO opportunity to see them. Once we all see them day 8 I will make 7 people happy by letting go the passes for day 10. I am sure I am not the only one...so hold out hope! Worst case you only get 2 passes and only you and your little one go in

We did BBB in July and had the first appt that morning 8 am....they let us in the park at 7:45, got our awesome crowd free on Main Street pics then walked to BBB. They were open and she was in the seat starting makeover at 7:55...we brought our own costume,,,,she changed in one if their rooms...we got the middle package....she was done by 8:20...pics done at Castle Couture by 8:30...

We had FP's for A and E already, so we were headed to Mine train, but you will be waiting at the rope behind the castle...you will be held there until the rest if the park guests are walked by by cast members and meet up with you and then it's a free for all once the rope is dropped...

I agree with PP, you are not allowed to get into line without your entire party present...

I hope you can get FP's, keep trying, as I'm afraid the whole makeover will be overshadowed by the anxiety of trying to get in line to see A and E....I was able to get FP for our party of six at 30 days out-so it's quite possible! Good luck!

Most people who have 8-10 day trips have no trouble...it's the 7 day or less that struggle. To the OP, our DD had an 0800 last December and we were out in plenty of time to do the photo shoot and still wait 15-20 min for rope drop!
