No fantasmic dinner packages 12/12 to 12/24...did I miss something?

they have not been posted for december yet. I am looking for 12/6. Sometimes there is a lag for the fantasmic dinner packages because they haven't figured out the schedule yet for F!.

This morning half of December was available online, but with my group being broken up I called in. The CM said that it wasn't out yet. I refreshed my screen and the dates didn't show anymore. The CM said it was a glitch. :/ She said they expect them to be out any day and to keep checking.

I went ahead and made my reservations. I made them for Tusker House, Mama Melrose, and Garden Grill. Hoping once the shows that are attached to these restaurants will be an easy add but I am not 100% confident.

Also frustrated by this! I have been checking since I could book 12/2 dining back on 6/5. Called WDW-Dine and CM also told me to keep checking back, they should be out shortly. This was about 10 days ago. LOL

I look every night at midnight, and as soon as I get up at 6:30am for work.

Really interested in Mama Melrose, and with it closing at 3pm, I am sure it will be harder to get one!

I made mine yesterday for H&V (3 reservations for a total of 14 ..had to break up). The CM said that when Fantasmic is released, I can update to a new reservation via the Modify if there is availability. I hope that works, but I feel I will have to call in again.

I don't think you can modify. I think you need to rebook and cancel your old.

She said that if I did "modify" that it would re-book (new conformation number) for what ever available ADR I could find...including Fantasmic dinner package. So, it would cancel mine at that time and add the new one. But she said that it was the best way to do it..????

Yes, when you go to book your new reservation if it is within 1 hr of the old one it will offer you the option to cancel the old one or keep it (and not make the new one). if it is more than an hour away you will have to go back and cancel it yourself.

I was told that I should try back and check to see when things like Fant. are released. She said I can try to modify the existing reservation to get it.

Now, with that being said, I used to work for Disney dining from home and I have to say that back then that is not how it worked. If someone tried to make a new reservation, the system would automatically block you, saying they already had a reservation. Hence keeping you from making a new one. If you cancel what you have, you lost it forever cuz Lord knows there would be no availability. But I have to say that I have never dealt wth the modify feature so I just have no clue how that works or IF it does.

I had to call again today because I had to book the last dinner of my stay.

Since I had an agent, I asked the same question again. They said once I see those dinner packages actually available, I should call in and an agent can simultaneously book and cancel the reservation on their end. I'm very nervous but this continues to be their statement so I guess I'll just go with calling in and hoping for the best.

You can do this online but it's not available yet...

I am feeling a little better today. I had to call in to adjust one of my reservations. The agent said that she could put items in the cart for me without canceling old reservations. So once I see the package's available, I'm going to call to try to get what I want through them without canceling what I currently have.

I would say this is not the case. I think the frustration and nervousness you are seeing in this thread is due to the fact that these packages are not released yet and they are not giving us any speculative release date.

I know the "official" travel agent calendar does not have Fantasmic! listed as scheduled (at least in black text, if you do a control/command F and look for Fantasmic!, it is on there for 7pm in white text). I find it interesting that MDE has it scheduled through 12/14/16 at 7pm and will let me "share the event with family and friends."

Just have to keep checking I guess.

that's just fantasmic though, not the dinner package? so confused. sitting here eating a lame blueberry chobani (i don't even like blueberry yogurt) and reading a review of Sanaa, lol. brain not clicking in.
