No fantasmic dinner packages 12/12 to 12/24...did I miss something?

I didn't know they were not released. I just thought they were all taken since some people have already got dinner F! packages. Is there still hope?

I was booking first thing online on my 180 days out and it only went to 1:30 after the 15th. I think they're not released yet cause there's no way they book up that fast.

One way to check this is to check the availability of just an ADR at your choice restaurant. If it's available then you know for sure they are holding back Fantasmic packages but if it's all booked then maybe they have real eased them for your select dates and the restaurant is at its capacity for those days.

There are some regular ones available during the evening times just not Fantasmic.

I understand! I have a H&V Dinner on 12/14, but I wanted to change it to the F! Dinner Package. No luck. :/

Now this is very risky but I will share my experience and see if you want to take a chance. I was on the look out for the package on the 6th preferably at 4 pm or just after. When my 180 +10 reservation date came up Fantasmic packages were unavailable for my dates because Fantasmic times hadn't been released officially. I booked a regular dinner reservation as a back up for my desired time because it was important to be able to do this dinner to me regardless of Fantasmic being attached. When Fantasmic packages finally became available I was only able to find a 3:05 pm one so I booked it but it didn't make me cancel my previous ADR for just the dinner. Off of the observation of another DIS member I cancelled my just dinner ADR and immediately went to look for the Fantasmic package I wanted and sure enough it was there for the exact time. It appears that the dinner and the packages have the same availability so if something frees up in one it becomes available in both.

When I cancelled mine I knew I had the 3:05 pm reservation as back up so I wasn't risking much. I also knew for sure that other people had booked the package for the times I was after so I knew it wasn't a limited release issue. Just sharing my experience in case it may help but I understand that you are risking being left out completely from either ADR so you have a different situation. If you are going to try it I would wait a while a few weeks maybe a month or so to let the heat die down of people who are constantly checking you also have to have a time of dinner that is an acceptable time for a Fantasmic package so before 5 pm I believe.

I did book Fantasmic Dining Packages today for 2:45 @ mama Melrose and 3:55 for Brown Derby - I am not sure they offer much later, but have never done them before!

Okay, just read the whole thread! Editing to say I will keep looking for dinner! Didn't even know that was an option! Thanks DISers! If I get it I will just cancel my others!

Are those times also before 5 pm? Because then I might say this is a limited release issue especially if you can find lunch packages like you stated.

Edit: the reason 5 pm is important is because they force you to have the reservation 2 hours before the show

There are some before 5; some as in regular reservations not Fantasmic after 12/15.

if you are able to see a regular reservation available in the restaurant you want and an acceptable time on a specific day and that same day has available Fantasmic reservations at a different time and or place then I would say that something hokey happened for sure and they weren't released completely. Because that would mean that neither the restaurant was completely booked nor was Fantasmic dinner reservations sold out. I wasn't personally able to find an example of that case but definitely if you saw it I would say that's weird. And incredibly frustrating I might add. Hope it clears up somehow and you are able to get what you need.

If I may suggest two things the cancelled December ADR thread and TP has some service that lets you know when things open up. You might want to look into either of those. If you aren't already. Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to give it this week and see if things open up. Looks normal up until 12/15 so maybe it's just not released yet. Waiting on this and Candlelight Processional!

I did end up booking the Fant. I got an agent on the phone who I could tell didn't know what she was doing so I was kind to her and then kind of swiftly thanked her so I could get off the phone to check for myself. Sure enough it was there and I got it.

Now to wait for CP and ROL...ugh

I've never booked either but I was assuming they'd be listed as a normal dining reservation option once available.

There's probably a thread on here to watch. I'm just watching the DW dining reservation page. CL has come out early July the past few years. There's no telling about ROL.

Just called Disney dining; operator can't see anything other than what I can see online nor does she have any clue as to whether the dinner dining will be open for Fantasmic at Hollywood and Vine week of 12/18. I predicted this outcome but decided to give it a try anyways.
