While I dont like to say negatives, "Momma said if you dont have anything nice to say say nothing", BUT I have to agree with most that the Commissary food is awful. THe only thing I could stomach was the Cuban sandwich. It wasn't that good I have had much better elsewhere but edible. Anywhere on prop you can get a "good" Cuban sand?

You could try Bongos at DTD. But to my knowledge no. They is a place by the Clearwater airport that I have heard has the best ones on the gulf side. ;) Either the Bread is wrong or the pickles at most places.

The food a the ABC Commisary is a bit too ethnic for my taste also. but I'd eat there before I'd ever eat at Studio Catering again. The food there was just plain awful. I had a Chicken Ceasar Wrap and the chicken was the slimiest, goopiest yuck I've ever eaten at Disney. I ended up throwing it away.

That's not good for chicken :scared1: When did you go? I thought the DHS CS were trying to up the standards.

Bongos at DTD has a Cuban sandwich. You can even buy one at their to-go window. However, Bongos does not accept the dining plan.

Olivia's at OKW has a Cuban sandwich at lunch. At least they used to, with the way places at WDW are always changing their menus who knows! I thought the one at OKW was very good.

I miss the one at ABC, I thought it was decent and it was always a nice place to go on a hot day. But now that its gone, I no longer bother with ABC since the rest of the food is pretty lackluster.

ABC is the only place I know that takes an OK Disney burger and makes it bad. I had the Cuban as well one NOT GOOD.... Next time a burger WORSE... There is no next time... I just do not understand that place... In fact I do not think I have ever had a good meal at any place in HS except BD

It was actually during a trip last year in June but it was bad enough that I wouldn't even consider eating there again. A lot of times I'm not there during the busier seasons so that Venue isn't even serving. It happened to be open during that trip & I thought I'd try out their new menu. There really wasn't a lot on it that I was interested in trying so I'll stick to Starring Rolls or Backlot Express.

There is a restaurant called "The Fountain" in The Dolphin hotel (an easy walk or boat ride from the back of Epcot) that serves an incredible Cuban flat bread. It is *loaded* with ham and pork and swiss cheese, I almost can't finish it and I'm a big eater.

It's not a sandwich, technically, in that you have to eat it with a knife and fork, but it is all sorts of awesome.

Their burgers there are the best in all "the world" as well.

Having worked for the actual ABC-TV, I have to say the commissary at the Studios is quite authentic and true to life. They may even use the same chefs.

And no... that's not a compliment to either!
