No Characters for dinner at Cape May Cafe??

I just made some of our ADRs for the end of May and both of the evening reservations for Cape May say: "Character Appearances
Characters do not make appearances at this meal." I thought that Minnie (at the least) was there. Does anyone know if that is the case...is it breakfast only? Is the breakfast better than dinner?

There are only characters there for breakfast. The dinner is amazing, even my DD you does not like seafood LOVED it!! And for the rest of us that do the food was great! Breakfast is ok, and they have great characters in bathing suits attire.

We haven't been to Cape May for dinner, but as pp stated there are no characters at dinner. The Cape May brkfst is pretty good - the buffet is standard fare - nothing special but good nonetheless. Cape May is probably the most relaxed character meal in WDW & the character interaction is outstanding. The characters are Minnie, Goofy & Donald in their swimming attire.

Just booked the breakfast for August-thanks to these boards! There are no characters at dinner which is called the clambake I think, but I heard from several people how great the dinner food is. Still debating on booking dinner also. We already have our ADR's, so I would have to cancel one other one.
