I went over my "fun" budget today. The movies on Monday, and going to the city today put me over.

I only have $12 left in my Christmas budget. I know I'm going to be over on that as well. I'll try and finish that up tomorrow.

And only $45 left in my grocery budget. I'll pick up a few things this week that I need for the holiday, as well as my sodas at work, and then I'll try not to shop again until Feb.

Yesterday we had brucnh with some friends and then went out to dinner with family. I also ran a few errands and we got almost everything for Christmas Eve dinner except the fresh fruit. veggies, and bacon. Also stopped and bought a few needed items at wal-mart and target. We picked up some fresh bathroom rugs (we always get new this time of year) and a few clearanced decorations.

Today I know will be a $0 day. We are making chocolates at my Grandma's and have bought everything we needed already.

Yeah thats my philosphy too but it is amazing how much more I spend at Christmastime, it's not just the gifts but all the activities centered around Christmas that A. we have to pay for and B. take up so much time that I end up having to pick up take-out for dinner and buy a dessert instead of bake one because theres just no time!
