Quick question: Does it count as a no buy when fiancé is paying (for example, he treated me to dinner and movie on Monday)?[/QUOTE]
I think it depends. My husband has a seperate account for his day to day expenses and splurges. I do not track expenses that come out of that account because I have no control over it. If I did, (insert vent here) he'd actually eat a leftover for lunch every now and then.(vent over)
If he treats me to dinner and it comes out of that account then I don't count it. Because that's him spending "his money".
I only track what comes out of our "general fund" because that's my "domain".
Everyone does their personal banking differently, so you have to figure out what works for you. Some people prefer sharing an account - for us this arrangement works.
