Just got off the phone. CM told me that there would be no AP discounts on the weekend from now till the end of the year. She said it would be better if I had a non-AP code. Didn't. Has anyone heard this? Thanks.

I am a new AP holder so I am not a good source of info on this.

That said, I am not new to the DIS and from everything I've read it sounds like the CM you spoke to was pulling that info out of thin air! Most CM's you speak to will tell you that they don't get the offers until Disney releases them and they have no information until that time.

I just booked on the passholder website yesterday a Saturday night stay for my daughter for May 9th. I got the discount. Weekdays were $64 a night and weekends are $74 a night, standard room at the value resorts. The total was $83. I also added the QS dining to her stay for 2A2C which cost another $83. Total was $166. I have read several posts like yours that said folks are not getting discounts for weekends when calling, but you can online.

I know that they are not offereing discounts from now through the middle of April, but have seen discounts in April. I would love to get a discount room before Spring break, but it seems Disney would prefer we stay off-site - silly people!

Do you already have the AP or an AP voucher? Use the Passholder portal on the website to search dates. I booked the Poly with an AP rate for May 23 - a Sat. AND a holiday weekend to boot!

I'm not an AP holder, but I did get a really good rate on rooms. Moderate for $129 double & $149 King. The Values were $74. I saw the promo on Disney's site, and emailed it to my AAA agent, and she adjusted my ressie for me.

Can you provide a link or directions to the promo page? I can't find it and have a non-AP friend looking. Thanks!

I have been an AP holder for 4 years. There have been minimal if any weekend discounts for AP holders for a full year now. It is the primary reason my trips to WDW from Georgia have fallen from 14 or so a year to 3. I used to take two long trips and numerous weekend trips because it was a good deal. It is not worth it anymore. If you are getting a decent weekend rate, I believe it is available to all not just passholders.

Two words.

OFF SITE!

Seriously I am not paying Disney rates for the weekend LOL! Mousesavers has shown some of the current AP discounts don't include weekends.

Disney's pricing is :rotfl2: and I am not paying it!

I can't speak for any other weekends, but the rate listed at the Poly for 5/23 is $415. Going through the AP portal I booked it for $289. Seems like a discount to me! :thumbsup2

I got an AP discount for MLK weekend this year at PO-FQ for $99 a night. I also just booked Saturday May 9th for my daughter at Pop for $74 a night. There are no other discounts available, so this is definitely an AP discount.

This is what my confirmation says:

Departing : Sunday 05/10/2009 for 1 nights
2 Adults,2 Children

Resort Name: Disney's Pop Century Resort

I hear ya! We are going at the end of the month since the kids have a 3 day weekend and we are staying offsite. The ASMovies is $150 a night.....I can stay at the Gaylord for $129....seriously what is Disney thinking?

FYI -- they have released GP discounts for April/May/June-early. They are available for the weekend too (just like AP rates for the same timeframe). I just checked some dates online for Pop but only Sports was available. Here is my search info.

All rooms have two double-size beds or one king-size bed, table and chairs, vanity area with sink and a bathroom. All rooms are non-smoking. Amenities include in-room wall safe, voice mail, data port, iron and ironing board. A mini-fridge, hairdryer and Pack 'n Play play yard are available upon request. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available. These rooms offer views of the parking lot, courtyard or pool.

Date Rate per Night
Thu, May 07 $ 68.00
Fri, May 08 $ 78.00
Sat, May 09 $ 78.00

As you see, this is indeed a discount on the weekend for a value resorts. On the AP website the same search gets me May 07 $64 and Fri May 08 $74.

We just booked CSR for 4 nights 3/28 - 4/1, yes the saturday night is their regular price but the 3 other nights were at a 40% discount which more then made up for the $ we paid for saturday.

Was this with a pin code? I have an annual pass and I am a Florida resident, but can't seem to get any kind of discount. :confused3
