No AKV Oct UY on the resale market - why?

I currently have 160 pts with an Oct UY at AKV. I've been looking to get some more points. I've been looking at the resale marketplace and it is rare to see OCT UY points for sale at AKV. I've found the occasional large-point contract but have not come across any smaller point contracts (ie 160 or less)

Are there certain UY that were less commonly sold compared to others?

We have an October use year as well. It is a difficult month to find available on resale. If you see one you need to grab it. We just put an offer in on an add on Wednesday. We are in the very beginning stages and I am hoping we pass ROFR because watching for the October use year is tiring!! I watch 4 different resales sites daily. Looks like we are competing with each other. May the best DISer win!!!

Many of the smaller contracts are never listed on the resale websites since those interested have contacted the brokers to let them know what they are looking for - so the brokers all have a "waitlist" for these smaller contracts.

If you are looking for a specific Use Year and fewer then 100 points, I'd contact several of the brokers and let them know of your interest.

I have an Oct. UY and the BWV small contracts are few and far between. I've added on in 50 point increments and even though my I purchased my initial contract resale I've had to add on direct ever since. Fortunately it was several years ago so the direct prices weren't off the charts the way they are today. The spread wasn't as large as it is today so taking into account no closing costs and receiving current points I didn't feel too badly about purchasing direct.

There are five October AKV resales of 160 points and under currently showing on the Timeshare Store site, some better value than others. We have used them for both our resale purchases and would highly recommend them - hopefully one of these may be of interest to you.

Good luck in finding the small contract you want. I know in the past we have given up and bought direct after a frustrating two months trying to find the right resale contract. But it sounds like more contracts have hit the resale market at tTTS so hopefully one of them will fit your requirements.

For reasons that only Disney knows, they don't seem to offer many October contracts for the new resorts. They are available if the buyer asks but not many do.
