No AAA Discounts from WDW-Only thru AAA?

I was just told by a CM that the only way to get a AAA discount on an existing room only ressie is to book through AAA directly. News to me as I have been getting AAA discounts for years until AP discounts are released. The CM said it has been this way for a couple of months but didn't sound very convincing.

I suspect the CM has it wrong but thought I would check in here before calling again. Thanks and I know we all hope this isn't true. Clark

Not true - I had 3 rooms at AKL with AAA discount on the day the discounts came out. Called WDW directly and made the reservations with the discounts.

It was eating away at me and made another call and now have the AAA discount for January at BC at about 20%. Though we always hope a CM will pass along correct information sometimes that just doesn't happen and a second call has to be made.

Agree 100%. On the day the discounts came out, I had to call three different times before I got a CM that knew the AAA discounts were available.

I know the Little Mermaid rooms are typically excluded from Disney discounts and promotions. But are they eligible for AAA discounts?

We are booked for June 2014 and LM rooms were exempt from AAA discounts. I figure I will check back every once in a while. Maybe they will change that sometime. I also plan on watching these boards. I always get my information here first!
