okay, i asked about this a while ago, and it seems like a lot of people just had their friends or families who they referred directly call their guide.
i really like my guide, and want to refer another family.
the first family i referred changed their mind and decided to postpone contacting DVC for info, so i still don't know if following this exact procedure works or not.
what happened before was i actually called my guide, who mailed me some referral postcards.
i filled out the postcard, and mailed it to the first family. they were supposed to bring that postcard with them to their DVC tour.
it appears that NJ is the ONLY state which has such weird referral rules.
this is what is on the DVC Member website:
"Currently, you reside in a jurisdiction in which you are unable to submit personal information on any referral. However, a printable Referral Form is available for you to send to any friends and family who are interested in Disney Vacation Club. They simply complete the form and send it directly to us, and we will take care of the rest.
Disney Vacation Club is a vacation ownership product and is therefore subject to the regulatory laws of the state, province, or country in which you reside. You reside in a jurisdiction in which you are not allowed to submit personal information for referrals.
However, a printable referral form is available to send to your friends and relatives who are interested in Disney Vacation Club. They can send it to the address at the bottom of the page, and Disney Vacation Club will contact them directly."
have any of you NJ residents actually followed these exact procedures for referrals?
it seems like a lot of NJ residents have just bypassed this rule, and still successfully got their referral credit.
it's just frustrating, i just want to be able to tell the families, "here is my guide's name and phone#, just give them a call and mention i referred you".
but instead we have this paperwork to do.
your thoughts/comments please?
