NIP/TUCK-Season Premerie

OKay..i have searched and found no threads. I hope I didn't miss one!

What did everybody think of the Season Premere of Nip/Tuck. I was a bit disappointed. No mention of Kimba or the Carver? Did that feel weird to you?

And I can't believe Brooke Shields did the sex scene with Christian. I was liking her part until that! Also, did you think the Mom in the 3threesome was a "man-mom"...she looked like a man gone women to me! Anyway.. what did everybody else think????

Oh yeah, that "mom" was definately a man. The make sex so creepy on that show. Other than that, I kind of liked the show.

I watched it, and was working on school stuff, so I guess I'll have to watch it again, because I totally MISSED the fact that Christian went to bed with Brooke. I thought she was insightful about him though. I don't think he's "in love" with Sean, but I think that Sean is the only person he truly has feelings for and that freaks him out a bit. It was very toned down, but I find I'm not into it as much since discovering Grey's Anatomy this summer.

I enjoyed the show very much. I found it a little weird that nothing was mentioned about Kimber, but it didn't bother me that the Carver stuff was over. That was concluded last season; there's no reason for them to dwell on it now.

I'm curious as to what's going on with Christian. They were implying SO many different things. Personally, I'd like to see him settle down for a change. It's obvious he wants kids and would make a good dad. I think that he's still pretty broken up about the wedding and Kimber though.

By far though, the most interesting story is Shawn, Julia, and the baby. I just find it fascinating, that here's this man who spends his life perfecting people and has always claimed that he's against the cosmetic stuff. Then he discovers he's going to have a less than perfect baby and he freaks. I think that it's going to make for some good drama this year.

That mom was not a man. It was Tracy Scoggins. I think she's just had a lot of botched work. Definitely creepy scenes between her and the daughter.

I thought the premiere was kind of strange. Matt wasn't there, and I don't remember seeing him in any of the "coming this season" clips. No mention of The Carver, although I guess at this point that's old news. That's one thing I don't like about this show...big stuff happens and they never come back to deal with it or even mention it...like the car accident girl, like Matt and Cherry Peck, etc.

The abstract art scene was priceless.

Dumbest comment of the show goes to Sean when he was upset about the baby's condition and told Christian he wouldn't understand because he got the "perfect son." I lol'ed at the idea of Matt being a perfect son and the writers even having Sean utter such a ridiculous line. Matt's certainly more of a freakshow than any lobster-baby could be.

ITA with that. I also like how they seem to making Christian deeper and Sean more shallow.

Did you catch the scenes from the rest of the season? I not only liked last night's episode, but might even go see a couple of the movies that they pitched during the show. I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed at how last night's episode ended, though. I thought that it just cheapened the comments made by the physchiatrist.

Matt is just weird....is it just me or does he remind you of MIchael Jackson! That is the only thing I can think when I see him..what a freak! I almost wish they would recast him,maybe, then I could try to at least relate to him.


The Brooke Shields scene was short..but definately there!

I agree how Sean is reacting to the news of his baby, but I can totally understand his freaking out. Hopefully, he it is just a stage of grief, and he will move on quickly. Howabout learning how to help "fix" his child's deformity.

Still a little ticked about no mention of Kimba...i liked her!

I think the exact same thing. I highly doubt Christian is in love with Sean either and can you blame him that Sean is the only one he feels for since everyone else has screwed him over so badly

I just finished watching it a few minutes ago.

I thought it was OK. The whole Christian freaking out because he's afraid he might be in love w/ Sean thing was weird.

The mom/daugter threesome was nasty. The mom has definitely had way too much bad plastic surgery!

I do remember seeing Matt & Kimber in the previews - and I think I read there will be something going on between them (not necessarily sexual, IIRC) as the season progresses. Should be interesting!

Hahaha, I couldn't agree more. I was watching my season 2 DVDs of this show a couple of weeks ago (the season where Matt was sleeping with Ava, his life coach) and he had this mullet look going on. My best friend and I kept commenting on how much like Michael Jackson he looked.

I started a thread last night before the show, but haven't made it back to it yet!

Anyway, so much to talk about. Where to start? I think no mention of Kimber and the Carver is to indicate that it's all in the past. Kimber I believe is coming back eventually because I've seen her interviewed talking about Larry Hagman and Brooke Shields.

To the poster who asked, Christian didn't so much "go to bed" with the psychairist as just throw her over a desk. I thought that was odd too as she seemed to be so powerful over him. It would have made more sense to me if she was the aggressor. But, I'm sure they're going to be taking that somewhere. She's supposed to be in more episodes, right?

I also agree with the poster who mentioned Sean's line of Christian having the perfect son. The only think I can think of is he was talking about Wilbur cuz Matt is no peach.

I disagree with the poster who said Christian would be a good dad. Not trying to flame you, but are you kidding me? He--uh, well you know--everything with a hot bod and if not he'll make her wear a bag over her head. He did show a tiny bit of moral standare when he kicked out the mother/daughter...finally.

Oh and that mom did look like a man, but I could swear I've seen her before. I think it was just really bad plastic surgery. Ironic with the show that she was on.

Probably sometime Friday or Saturday. That's when they usually reair it.

It was refreshing that they went back to the old way of their shows. I thought that line of Matt being the perfect son was priceless.

I figure they will bring up Kimber in the coming shows. I am glad they didn't mention the Carver, that story line got old fast.

I'm glad you said this, I think the same exact thing!

Anyway, what does everyone think about Julia and her baby? I'm really anxious to see what's going to come of her situation, with the baby having an abnormality and all. The preview of the season they showed after the episode didn't really do anything for me. I mean, nothing compared to last season IMO, but we'll just have to see. Could Christian really be gay? LOL I doubt it, but I sure would like to see that twist in the show.

I don't think they would make Christian gay. Seems a little over the top for me!

I hope Kimba comes back and makes Christian be "good" again!
