Can someone here recommend which memory card I should get for my son's Nintendo DS Lite? I see many different kinds for sale on Amazon and just don't know which one would work for his system. I am also looking to not spend a lot of $ if that's possible (under $20).

Thanks!

I didn't know that they even took memory cards. My DD's don't have a slot for one.

That could very well be - i'm really not up on the DS at all but I know that he can't save the game he plays and it starts back at the beginning after he loses the round (Mario Brothers). I just assumed it takes one - there are two slots on mine - the small one in the back for the little game and one in the front that seems larger.

The other slot is for GameBoy games.

I'm pretty sure that the DS doesn't take any memory cards. Depending upon what Super Mario Bros. game it is, he may have to make it to a certain level before it will save.

:rotfl: I have one of these - I just bought it. (I'm 46 years old!)

All of my games return me back to the start if I fail to achieve a certain level. They start me over. I just assumed that was the case. (I don't have a slot for a memory card either.)

I'm with you. I just bought myself one (33 years young). I'm loving it!!

OP, as someone else said depending on which game he has, he has to reach a certain level in order to save his game.

I have MB 64 for DS and the New MB(which is a remake of an older verison). On the 64 it will ask you to save and continue or save and quit or not save. On the New MB you have to each a certain point or it will send you back to the start.

I am so glad I posted this today - thanks to everyone who responded!

I'll let him know he needs to get to a certain level to save the game.
