Somebody please give a report when you come back. I want to hear all about it.

Night of Joy is a 3-night festival held at Majic Kingdom in which many contemperary christian artists preform on many stages around the kingdom. They close the park early so that they can reopen it for NoJ ticketholders at 7:30. Then we can watch the preformers and ride the rides untill 12:30 am! I'm going on thurs. and Fri. along with two nights at ASMo and I can't wait!!!!!!! I am so excited to see Third Day, SCC, Rebecca St James, Jars of Clay, Sonicflood, and of course SMITTY (Micheal W Smith)!!!!!!!! My best friend is coming down from UCF so we can go and that is another reason I'm excited cause i wont be able to see her till Christmas. Am I yaking too much? Sorry. I'm just so excited! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Smitty's girl aren't you going up not your friend coming down. UCF is in Orlando :)

Good point. I did mean i was coming up to see her. :teeth: I'm a blond Floridian teenager, what can you do. :sunny: By the way Talking Hands, did you go to NoJ last year? I saw someone signing at the MWS preformance and I was just curious if it might have been you. I am very interested in learning ASL in college, and I thought it was really cool when I saw that. ::yes::

No I didn't go last year because I had just done a cruise. There will be interpreters this year for Micheal W Smith and also for Steven Curtis Chapman. Also Jars of Clay and Third Day. I'll get the actual schedule later. I did go a few years ago and they had interpreters too.

Are you in college or still in high school? You know that some of the high school have ASL classes or you can dual enroll in MDC if you are 16 and take classes through them. MDC has a full interpreting program. U Miami doesn't teach sign language. FIU has very limited course but will accept it as a transfer credit. Don't know about Barry and Southeastern.

Thanks for the info Talking Hands. I am still in high school, but its a small christian school so it doesn't offer many special classes like that. :( I am thinking about going to Palm Beach Atlantic U but taking Sign Language classes at PBCC, but its just an option. I'm a senior and I'm still confused about what to do for college  I need prayer. :D The person I saw last year wasn't an interpreter but in the audience, so thats why I was wondering who it was. I'm glad you went on a cruise though. We had a tropical storm right over us last year (even though there was a huge area of good weather right in the middle of the storm that seemed to stay over WDW throughout the event. Talk about providence!)

As for the dates, it is September 9th, 10th, and 11th. Hope this helps. :)

I wish I could go! I want to so bad! I'm going to do my best to schedule a trip for next year, but there is no way this year.

At First Baptist Church of West Palm Beach, right on the Palm Beach Atlantic, there is a large Deaf Ministry. They might give sign language classes.
Also if you are in Dade you can take Sign Language classes at night at Miami Dade College. Enroll as taking them for personal interest. Classes start 8/25

Thanks for all the info on ASL classes TH. It REALLY helps me out. :D :thewave: :thewave: :D

I cant wait either. We just went to hear Michael w smith, mercy me and david crowder band last week in philadelphia, pa, and they were awesome!!! i cant believe they will be at disney too!!! i am really looking forward to steven curtis chapman,,,doesnt he have a new CD coming out? do they give out schedules there or do you have to get if on line before you go? what do you do if 2 people you like are on at the same time??? what stages do they use??? i am so excited!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

I know they use the Castle forecourt stage and the Tomorrowland Stage but I believe they have several other sites as well. They also perform several sets and they will give you a schedule as you enter. I also get special schedule since the interpreters only do certain performers and only once during the evening. hat way I know where to be for those particular performances.

My DH and I will be there Thursday and Friday, we're so excited! We went in 1997, and being the Disney lover that I am, I kept the map and information sheet!

At that time, the performances were at Castle Forecourt Stage, Tomorrowland Stage, Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, Galaxy Palace Theater in Tomorrowland and Adventureland Stage in Adventureland. Each group performed at least twice, some of them three times throughout the night (ex. 9:15, 10:30 & 11:45 p.m.)

Ever since I heard about the NOJ I have wanted to be there. I am so thrilled that Disney is permitting Christian music in the Magic Kingdom - what a thrill. Bought my tickets for DH and I for Thurs and Fri. WOO HOO:wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:
