Nicki & Todd are at it again, F&W style, snacking & drinking oh my! LIVE Tonight!!

Fabulous job as usual Nicki :thumbsup2:goodvibes

Can't wait to hear about your next trip. I've always wanted to go to WDW in December :goodvibes

Nicki....and her trusty side kick Sir Get Me In (a restaurant that is..Todd!)

:scared1::eek::rotfl::rotfl: I'm sure glad you clarified that!

I'm sad you had to cancel your trip at the end of the month, I was hoping we could somehow hook up!!!

And I'm so glad you added the () around your "trusty side kick Sir Get Me In"...because you know TigerKat and I would have been at you in a heartbeat!

Ok we will scratch Brown Derby...you convinced me! I figured you and TigerKat would have fun with that one...minds trolling the gutters hmmm?

I see my reputation precedes me....

I'm jealous, a Dec trip, RPC at the Grand. The ultimate treat. Mid afternoons stuffing yourself in the RPC lounge with warm scones, devonshire cream and strawberry preserves. I had signature dining ressies and I would have gladly given them to someone else so I could just stuff those scones in my mouth all afternoon. The greatest treat was relaxing in the lounge and listening to the groups preforming musical programs in the lobby 3 stories below. I've stayed at the GF many, many times and nothing compares to a Christmas stay there. You and Todd will have a ball. (Oh, I hear the sushi is good that time of year!!!) Jane

Why thank you! I appreciate you following along! We love Disney at Xmastime and have not been in 3 years. Last year I was not feeling Xmas at all, didnt want to decorate or bake and I am a Xmas nut so DH knew something was wrong..my gift was a 2009 trip to Disney to get my holiday vibe back! It will be a short one but totally worth it!

I'm sad you had to cancel your trip at the end of the month, I was hoping we could somehow hook up!!!

I was hoping for that too...next year for sure, we should all get together and go at the same time! And yeah you have a rep...but a very good one!

This is our dream stay and thanks to the 40% off code we received it was made possible! I cannot wait, always wanted to stay at the GF at Xmas time and do all the things you mentioned. We went to WDW in Dec 04, 05 and 06 and we always visited to the GF to get a drink at the bar or hot roasted chestnuts and listed to the live band, IMHO there is no better way to spend the holidays! I swear I am going to try sushi very soon, is the sushi bar at Kona open for lunch? :rolleyes1

Nicki,

Just finished up reading your reviews. Il Mulino looked wonderful, especially the white pizza and pasta carbonara. :thumbsup2
We bought a bottle of Rosa Regali at Italy while we were there. The larger bottle was $24.99. While it's cheaper to buy at home it was better buying it that way than by the glass. We took it back to our hotel and put it in the fridge to chill. Saturday ( 9/26 ) night we were debating going back out when a huge thunderstorm struck. So we sat in our hotel room, sipped Rosa Regali and watched Meet the Robinson's on Disney TV. Do we know how to live it up on vacation or what? :lmao:

That sounds like a wonderful way to spend a vacation! I bought a bottle from Publix last night, $19.99...it is chillin' in the fridge waiting for us this weekend!

Thanks Stacie! I am so glad that you enjoyed them! Just 2 more months until we can do it again!

Oh no! It's over!

I know it went so fast! But we had a great time and I am sad that our trip for the end of Oct is cancelled but happy that we were still able to get away for F&W and see the Fall decor at MK...I would be so bummed to miss it!

Nic, I know, I'm going off topic here...but I know you enjoy that too. :)
Was Mark's pic/remarks ever in the paper?

Have you tried the pumpkin spice Chai tea yet?

Is it "pumpkin" flavoured or "spice" flavoured.

Every year TimHorton's up here in Canada offers "Pumpkin Spice" tea and I always buy one and am so disappointed since it's just cinnamon and nutmeg tea, no pumpkin flavour at all.

I was hoping if the twinnings is good to pick up a box at the end of the month.

Just thought I'd come out of Lurkdom and and tell you that I enjoyed your reviews! This is the first of yours that I've read, and I just might have to go back and read the others. :) Thanks!

Hi Nicki,
Thanks again for the great reviews!!! I love seeing all the pictures!! I'm looking forward to your next reviews.

Thanks for taking the time to do such awesome reviews!! I always look forward to your reports!

After reading about Il Mulino, I've decided to add it on our next trip!!

Joining in for another of your drool reviews !!!At Chef's I had the macaroni and chese off the fixed menu along with the onion soup and it was very good !! I agree the soup could have been hotter !! The creme brulee was wonderful !! I want to try the boulubaise next time I have heard it is god and the apple dessert was also wonderful last time I had it !!

Hi,

Can I ask you a non-food question? We are currently booked at WL for 8 nights next Sept. mainly since they offer bunk beds so our kids (12 & 9) will have seperate beds. Now, I looked at WDW website and saw that we could stay at BC for only aobut $250 more. We would have to get a room with daybed for DD to sleep on. Pls give me your comments on both hotels.

thanks

Janet

You know I spent the day searching online for it and never found it...I dont get the local paper anymore because you can view it all online...I will keep looking though.

I'm interested to hear how the tea is too!!

We did and it was delish but didnt taste like pumpkin at all, more like a spicy chai and it was fantastic...yet it did smell like pumpkin! I am going to make it iced this weekend. I hope they still have it at England when we go back in Dec.

Thank you for reading them! I am wishing I was dining on that pizza from Il Mulino tonight, we are going out to our local joint for a white pizza but it is nothing like the one we had last weekend!

I should have ordered the mac and cheese but I had just ordered somthing similar the night before at Il Mulino...there was a neighboring guest eating the apple crepe thing and it looked very good! If they have that at lunch I will def get that!

Hi Janet! We have stayed at both and the location at both is great, the rooms are nice at both...the WL is much quieter than the BC believe it or not...the lobby and the pool area at the BC is always mad chaos. Not thrilled with the CS at either place, although RF at the WL has a killer pecan cinnamon roll! Prefer the dining at the BC area resorts over the WL ones. At the BC you can take a boat or walk to 2 parks..at the WL you are relying on buses for everything, except a boat to MK.

I guess it depends on when you are going, if it is in Dec I would stick with the WL because of the decorations, they are gorgeous.

If it is for F&W I would go with the BC because of the location to Epcot.

This is a tough one for me because I love the Epcot area resorts but BC is my least favorite of the 3 Disney resorts in that area (only because of the noise and crowd levels)....I will have to go with the WL, now if you were talking YC or BWI I would say go there over WL.

No matter which you choose you will be very happy, they are both very nice.
