I was wondering if anyone had been to the Nickelodeon character breakfast at the Nick hotel? I haven't heard much about it. I am more interested in character interaction, the food won't matter since he'll be too excited to eat. If so, please share your experience.

I am debating on whether to skip extra magic hours at Epcot one morning to take my little boy (who loves Dora) to the character breakfast. Trying to figure out if it will be worthwhile. Thanks in advance!!!

We did the character breakfast about 3 years ago. My kids really loved it. They actually loved the whole Nickelodeon Hotel. If your son is a Dora fan, I'd recommend it.

Of course, you probably know that at an age (somewhere around 2-3) some children get scared by the characters. We went to Disney when my youngest was around 18 months and he would have nothing to do with any of the characters....... until he saw Piglet. We had a hard time getting him to let go of Piglet, he loved him so much. We left the Crystal Palace and went straight to the Pooh ride and bought him a stuffed Piglet. He still loves Piglet, just not publicly :lovestruc

That is so funny! My son was also scared of all characters until we met Piglet at the Crystal Palace! After Piglet, we have had trouble getting him to let go of all the characters! He wants to hug them all.... with the exception of the Beast and Sulley! :goodvibes

Thanks for replying. I think we're going to try it out!

The character interaction is good, theres normally one character that you have your picture took with as you come in before youre seated then theres the one going round in the reasturant, we saw quite a few when we was there and my son loved dora then too.

The food is actually quite good, theres a great omlette station where you can pick your ingredients and have it made fresh for you...yummy

We was staying at the hotel a few days though so didnt travel over espically for this, the pools there are great too x

We stayed there in Oct 2009 and did the character breakfast. Way worth it for the interaction, not as crowded as Disney breakfasts so more time with the kids and characters. Boots (my 3yr old's favorite) actually came back and took him by the hand to meet Spongebob when he came out and I got the CUTEST pictures of them hand in hand. Was worth every penny... DO it!! We saw Squidward, Avatar, Spongebob, Dora and Boots, Blue and one of the kids from Rugrats.

Highly recommend the breakfast, we have done many disney ones and Nick hotel far exceeded the value. Character interaction much better, you don't have to sit there for an hour to see one, they come around much quicker, you will even see a few together, they come back again- great. The food was also WAAAAAAAY better than Chef Mickeys! Omlet station, excellent, and price waaaaaaay cheaper than anything Disney. Do the breakfast you won't be sorry.

Hi! :) We just did this character breakfast in April 2010. My daughter loved it. Dora and Boots were there. Spongebob and Patrick. Patrick was standing at the entrance getting photos with the kids when they arrived. The character interaction was not bad. Pretty good infact and the food was decent too! I hope this help! :)

My DD and her family are going to Nick in April. How far in advance do they have to book the character breakfast?
Also, are the characters only at the breakfast or are there character dinners too?
Oh, one more thing, are there any "show type" restaurants at Nick, something on the order of Hoop De Doo Revue? DD was looking for a fun place ,at Nick Hotel, to celebrate son in laws birthday.

Thanks :), Karen

The character breakfast when we were there in Feb was empty...you could just walk up and be seated immediately.

They have shows but no dinner shows. Nothing really to celebrate an adult birthday. They will bring him a cupcake at the character breakfast.
