Next trip is November 2015' who's going us?

I asked this awhile ago, but DH and I are just back from a quick trip to BWV so now I have our Nov. trip on my mind! Those of you who've been down for Thanksgiving before, where did you eat? We want traditional (or close to) Thanksgiving dinner and not LTT. We've been in Nov. before and once flew in on Thanksgiving but came in late at night.

Got AP's while we were down there last week so I think we may sneak in an Aug. trip, too But looking forward to seeing the Xmas decorations again

Thanksgiving meal = Hoop Dee Do Revue for us! It's a tradition. We stay away from the MK on Thanksgiving day but shuttle over to Fort Wilderness for supper. Depending on the crowds, we may check out MK after supper but normally, we are off to bed at the resort. Seeing that Candlelight Processional is the next day!

DH and I looking at either 11/15-11/20 , or 11/29-12/4.
I believe F&W runs thru 11/16 . . . does anyone know if the tail end of F&W is still good, or do they start closing things up a day ahead???
I've heard the 1st week of December is starting to get busier in past years - with parade taping and other events.
Thinking about renting DVC to try to keep costs down (this will be our second trip this year, that's a first for us, but we've always wanted to see the holiday decorations)!

Haven't booked just yet, but planning on Thanksgiving week. Thinking about 11/20 - 11/29. The day we check in on Friday is the Mickey Christmas Party. Would like to check that out, but not sure it's worth it?? Nervous about it being a busy Holiday week??

Thanksgiving week is busy. We go every year (week of and week after Thanksgiving) and I feel like every year it gets worse.
As far as the MVMCP, Last year we went to the last party of November and it was fine right after everyone was kicked out that didn't belong. Short lines the rest of the night. Make sure you get a spot for parades early. Not much room for squeezing in once people are settled! Cookies and hot chocolate were good. It was fun but kinda felt like it was a 'one and done' for us. Others may feel differently. Enjoy!

We're looking at either 11/26-12/1 or 11/28-12/3! woohoo! Our oldest turns the big "adult" 1-0 on 11/30 so HAVE to get in before that, and my mom has never been! We're hoping for 2 rooms at POP, and honestly will take FD if it's offered but probably not upgrade.

FD more than likely will not be available based on the historical data and your possible arrival dates.

BUT, it's a great time of year to visit!!! Our Favorite!!!

From our experience, we like to arrive on the Thursday before Thanksgiving. A lot of people will arrive on Nov. 21 if free dining is released, as that is normally the cut off date. ADRs are going to be tricky for you with that arrival date. However, some make duplicate ADRs for different times until it gets closer to their trip. So, don't lose hope if an ADR is not available. There is always a chance of cancellations!!!

If you pick the right park, you will feel like you have it to yourself early Thanksgiving week. Last year, we rode Expedition Everest 10 times in a row with no wait after rope drop. All about planning that week!

As for the MVMCP, it's a tradition and we will be there again this year. It's magical and we do it at the beginning of our trip.

Awesome! Thank you!! I am not really hoping or planning on free dining, but I can't say I'd turn it down ! We will have a party of 8, including a 2 yr old and a 4 mo old, so even though that saves some, we're uh, thrifty to put it lightly haha.
I appreciate the dates for MVMCP! We're HOPING that the week after Thanksgiving is a bit of a dropoff over the crowds the week of.

DH and I are planning our first holiday trip, so excited! I believe MVMCP is also held on Dec 1st . . .from the website (although even their website is known to be inaccurate sometimes ):
Held from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM at Magic Kingdom park, this annual yuletide event will take place in 2015 on the following dates:

• November 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20 and 29
• December 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17 and 18

Is this the same week you went last year? I'm looking into this week for our visit as well - hoping for Free Dining as we're a family of 6. Anyway, if this was the same week, how were the crowds? TIA

Yes, this was the same week we went last year. There were crowds but so much more manageable than the Summer crowds!! Not bad at all. My daughter was finally able to get signatures for so many characters! In years past we always went in June, July and August - which was just too much with huge crowds and extreme heat. Going in November is a totally different experience

Hope you get free dining too! We got it last year, and with the bounce back offer for this year total trip cost was pretty much the same.

We've gone in late Sept-Oct and Oct before. Last trip was Sept-Oct 2014 - and we had an unseasonable amount of rain, and some days of pretty intense heat. Really hoping for less rain and more comfortable temps!!
Did you see most of the holiday decorations that week? Were the resorts decorated for holidays yet?

Well, the weather last year was a bit on the chilly side for a few days - and damp as well. We just were not prepared. We expected it to be fairly warm and sunny and did not pack properly. Had to wear layers of sweatshirts! This year will definitely bring warmer clothing. With our luck it will probably be sunny and 80 degrees every day! Hahaha!

Yes, definitely saw lots of holiday decorations - saw lots Christmas decorations and trees at all of the parks. Each time we revisited a park we would see new additions. The Osborne Lights at Disney Studios was AMAZING!!!

Last year all of them were included except for Art of Animation Little Mermaid rooms and AllStar Movies.
