Next trip is November 2015' who's going us?

Count us in! We are booked for November 20-28th. It's me and my DH and our 3 boys (11, 9, and 4 at time of travel). We were supposed to go this May but DH is assigned his vacation time and May was already filled, but they gave him Thanksgiving week! We never have big family plans, so DH and I thought WDW would be a fun adventure. I am worried about the crowds, especially since my middle son has Asperger's. This is our first trip since they changed the GAC system and installed FP+, so I have some catching up and planning to do...which makes me grateful for the next 3-6 months! Anyway, I'm glad this thread is here and I'm going to check out the FB group as well!

We are going to try again this year...missed last year's due to scheduling conflict. Does anyone know when MNSSHP usually ends? We are thinking of coming in on Oct. 31st, but I'm sure it'll be crazy on Halloween itself. I'm wondering if it carries over a day...or do they start with Christmas right away? Either would be great.

Has anyone been during the first week of November? (11/1-11/7/15) The crowd calendars look light...which is what I'm hoping for.
Happy planning to all!

Surprise trip planned for 11-15!!! Staying at Wilderness Lodge- first time!!!! Fingers crossed for a deal or pin code!
I'll be staying at WL for the first time too Nov 5-14th!!!!! I am hoping for the room discount since I am only doing QSDP this trip. The RO will save me much more money.

November 14th through the 21st. It will be my wife, our 4 year old daughter and myself. Booked at Poly club level garden view. I hope all of the Poly construction will be gone by then and that we can get a 30% room discount or free dining (would rather have the room discount).

Looking at going November 9-16, 2015. I would be DH, DD (6) and I. It would be our first trip to WDW after doing other Disney parks. We haven't booked anything yet, as I am still waiting on flights on Jet Blue from Seattle. Flying from Victoria BC or even Vancouver BC is way too expensive. Looking at the Caribbean Resort, Port Orleans (either) and the Pop century Resort. I have enough Air Miles for 2 Adult 7 day tickets and hopefully will have enough for my DD ticket by September. What is free dining? Are the rates on the Disney site currently the rack rates? I am basing my costs for hotels on those rates at the moment.

Murt22, how old are your grandkids? I took my son when he was 20 months old. It was a trip with my mom, sister and her kids. It was an incredible trip!

We went to the parks when they opened, stayed until lunch or early afternoon and then took a break. The kids enjoyed doing that because they got to swim. My niece was 6.5 and my nephew was 10. We'd head back to one of the parks in the evening, it worked out well for us. Not too many meltdowns at all. It was the end of May into early June and it was hot. So taking the break at the pools was a big help.

The grandkids will be 4 and 21 months - but since the parents will be there - we are going to do what they think is best. I know that getting there early and leaving will probably work best. We are booked in a 2BR Jambo savannah view villa, bought tickets before the price increase and even got some decent flights using my miles - so we are ready to go! (except for all the specific day to day itineraries). My DIL and I are both over-planners, so hopefully our thoughts will mesh together.

We'll be flying down 27th and staying thru 7th. In past we go 2nd week in Dec, but excited about leaving earlier....watching for free dining (I can wish) or room discount....finalizing resorts to reserve...usually poly..but this time CSR and BC (never been) happy planning

Hey everyone! We will also be there in November! Our dates are Nov. 24-Dec.5. We have booked AKL CL for part of our split stay, and are planning on booking WL CL for the second. We are meeting with our friends this weekend to hopefully set all our plans in motion!!! We also ordered our tickets last night!! 9 more months to go!!!!!!

I'll see ya down there, I'll be skipping on main strt:flower1:

We are still tinkering with dates. But we are looking at Ocober 31-November 7 at the moment. We were trying for early October but my DH couldn't get time off work then so now we are looking at plan B and keeping the school calendar in mind that week is probably our best option. We are taking my brother this time and he hasn't been since he was 3 so it will be a like a first trip for him.

Our tentative dates are Oct 30th - Nov 7th. Has anyone here been during that week before? We normally go at the beginning of October, and crowds are low, or "lower." We've also been during the first and second week of December and it was pretty crowded, IMO. I'm not really caring to catch Holiday stuff, just wanted to be there on our anniversary (the 3rd)

We are going November 14-19 (or 20th)....haven't decided where to stay yet but have marked my calendar to book at 191 days out since we have the Disney Visa Rewards as I've read I can book ADRs 190 days out..hope that's true because I've never planned ADRs that far out before!!

I'm hoping they release a good Fall room discount!!
adrs 180 days out when we were trere in 2011 12 and 13

Thanks - I was corrected on another thread as well so I'm glad I got it figured out before I tried to go make ADRs!! Someone explained that it's 180 days out up to 10 days into your trip and not 190 days and that it was for guests staying onsite and had nothing to do with the Disney Visa Rewards - so I was way confused apparently

Our first trip is 11/1-11/7 and we can't wait!! Staying at CBR. I might consider changing dates if free dining starts on Friday or Saturday. I think I saw that it ended the Thursday before Jersey week last year, that won't work for us. Do they ever offer anything during Jersey week or is it usually all blacked out?

We'll be there too! Nov 28-Dec 11 at POR unless the Cdn dollar drops insanely low. Fingers crossed!

Count us in...Nov 21 thru Nov 29. My husband's bday is 22 and my son turns 9 on the 29. I am still trying to decide where to stay. I think I may go ahead an book a moderate and the upgrade when some deals start coming out.

I was trying to go back and look at what discounts were released for November over the last few years and when those offers were released. Looking back through 2012, 2013, and 2014 offers it looks like the release dates really do seem to vary! In 2012, it looks like they released free dining for dates in November in early July and room only discounts in late August. In 2013, both discounts (FD and RO) for travel in most of November were released in early August. Then in 2014 it looks like free dining for dates in November were released in early May with room only discounts not being released until late July. I was hoping for a 30% RO discount for the week before Thanksgiving but I'm hoping to stay at the CR and it looks like historically those RO discounts are in the lower range of 15-20% depending on the dates in November. Hopefully they'll release discounts in May but it looks like it could be as late at August.
