Did anyone watch last night?

Don't really have a favorite yet, but I really don't like the Italian girl. I can't figure out why but she just annoys me.

Yes, I watched it. I really like Aria. I also like Aarti and Brad. Not a fan of DAS, Brianna or Herb.

Aria and Brad are two that I think will become my favorites. If Aarti can get her confidence up then I think she has a real shot because they don't really have a chef with a Indian cooking background.

I knew who was going home as soon as Wolfgang Puck told him that his food was not acceptable.

I like a lot of them, but I'm not fond of the Italian girl either. And I couldn't figure out why.

I don't really have a favorite, yet. Aarti kind of annoyed me for some reason, but I'm not sure why.

I have a hard time finding favorites on this show and Hell's Kitchen, because I feel the talent level is so far behind something like Top Chef. But I still enjoy watching the shows, since I love to cook!

We had fun coming up with nicknames for all of them. We call her "Charo".

Great premiere episode!

I was really disappointed that Das didn't go home - he annoyed me in every segment last night. Aria is my favorite so far.

She's "Food Network Barbie!"

We just finished watching it. My favorites are Aria & Brad. Really like how they are focused and genuine and do not seem all caught up in the TV thing. Brianna, Dzinka & Serena drive me nuts. Tom cracks me up. I like Aarti, I think she is very nice but I do not care for that kind cuisine so I don't see myself watching her show. Das, Doreen and Paul are not impressive. Im not sure how I feel about Herb...seems like a nice guy but at the same time I think could get on my nerves quick.

I am excited for cupcake wars. :lovestruc

I just got done watching it. I'm with the rest of you -- I did really like Aria, Aarti and the guy with the hat (was that Brad?). Herb was okay too if he would learn how to relax in front of the camera.

Although I didn't particularly care for Dzenitra, I thought her teammates were rude when she got hurt. Eye injuries are nothing to fool around with and I don't buy for a minute that any of the rest of them would have behaved any differently than she did when the medic suggested she go to the hospital.

^^ I agree 100% about her eye injury.

I like Aria, Brad, and I'm in the minority but I like Das. I would like Aarti if it weren't for that damn ukulele.

I don't think it's fair to compare TNFS with Top Chef. TNFS isn't looking for the absolute best chef in the country... they're looking for someone who can show people how to cook on TV. I just wish that they would leave part of the decision-making to the people who are actually going to be watching the show that the winner gets.

The better chefs can go on Chopped and Top Chef. The good cooks with a great personality should stay on TNFS.

Have to agree about the eye injury as well. I have had a scratched cornea. It is no joke.

Although Dzintra had no business presenting something she didn't cook. Just made her look silly. Especially when the dessert sucked and they had to say "This sucks, who cooked it?"

Frontrunners right now are Aria and Aarti, although Aria is "The Mom" and they've just had The Mom win the last one, do they really need another mom? Das needs to quit swinging the arms on camera. And the bug-eyed Italian gal...does she do that in court or is she not a trial attorney? Of the guys, Brad's the professional ("The Pro" as the name for a show, though, give me a freakin break) but he needs to lose Grandpa's hat and loosen up.

Also agree that TNFNS is not Top Chef. These contestants are more actors than chefs.

No faves, yet, most of them are pretty annoying but that makes good TV! :happytv: Das gives me the heebie jeebies, he needs to take it down a couple of pegs. Last year's winner gave me the heebs, too... so he MIGHT win!;)

Last year's winner was Melissa D'Arabien, who now has the show about feeding four people one meal for $10 - how'd she give you the heebs? Do you mean Aaron McCargo/"Big Daddy's House"? He's gotten a LOT better!
