I didn't know it until today.;)

My husband has been looking for a truck and he finally found the exact one he wants - in Newtown, PA. So we're headed out tomorrow night on a mini-road trip to get it. I wanted to go to Philly for a bit, so I guess we'll need to rethink that - 2 hours is kind of a long drive.

Thanks for the info.:)

ah yes that would be a bit of a drive! where are you coming from? how about stopping at knoebles, that's about 30 min from there if your looking for something to do.

It takes 2 hours to get from Newtown to Philly?
wait, what county are you talking about?
Newtown, PA in Bucks county is about a 35-40 minute drive from Philly.
I think there may be another Newtown somewhere. :scratchin

I just did a google search. There are 8 Newtowns in PA. Anywhere from 30 minutes away to 5 hours away.

hmm...the things you learn from google.

My friend lives in Newtown and I live in New Jersey, just across the Walt Whitman Bridge, which is a little south of Philadelphia. It takes me an hour to get there, but I never go in rush hour traffic. If you are going at a less busy time of day, it would probably take you between 45 minutes to 1 hour. It does take a little time to get in/out of the city because of traffic and all the lights.

The Newtown I'm talking about is in the 215 area code. The car dealership is on S. State Street - Stockburger Chevrolet. So anyone know which Newtown that is?:confused3

That is def. not two hours away. I'd say about 1/2 hour. Do you want to go to center city? Newtown to Northeast Philly is even closer.

Just looked at their website. They are right near Langhorn which is just north of the city. Kind of near Sesame Place.

According to them, the Newtown we're looking for is just outside of Philadelphia. I'm guessing about a 45 minute drive with traffic?

depends on whether I-95 has construction, but that sounds close.

Only in Pennsyltucky!

There is "Old" Newtown

There is "New" Newtown

There is Newtown East

There is Newtown West (which is actually Directly North of Newton East)

There is 'Newton' (where the Figs are from) which is often mistaken for Newtown

There is OLDTOWN, but the residents live in denial and call it Newtown!

There is New (space) Town

and then there is the THE SCARY Newtown, where NO ONE ever got out ALIVE!:scared1:
Be careful GrinningGhosts!

I pass it every morning on my way to Starbucks for coffee on my way to work!:thumbsup2 If you are driving into Center City it would be about 45 minutes. :) I live in the other city that someone mentioned, Langhorne. Stockburger is smack in the middle of Newtown Borough and it is my favorite town in Bucks County! :goodvibes

Stockburger Chevrolet is in the Newtown next to Langhorne. It takes 30 to 40 minutes to get to Phila from there (depending on traffic).

Stockburger is a good dealership. I would feel comfortable purchasing a car from them. Good luck on your purchase.
