Ok everyone, week 2 here for my newspaper contest. I think I know most of the answers this week. But there are a couple I'm not sure about. What attraction is referred to as "the wildest show in the wilderness"? I think this is a misprint and they should have written "wildest ride in the wilderness" which is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Is there a show known as the "wildest show in the wilderness"?

Question 2 - What attraction features replicas of chess pieces located on the building's roof? This one I have no clue for except that it is in the Magic Kingdom.

Question 3 - What is the name of the gift shop inside Cinderella's castle?

Thanks everyone in advance!

Question 2: Haunted Mansion. Look closely and you'll see chess pieces on top of the Mansion.

I think question #3 is Sir Mickey's

The announcement on the RR is:
Emerging from the tunnel, we are now in Bear Country on the edge of the wilderness. Bear Country has Trading Posts, places to eat, and the wildest show in the wilderness, The Country Bear Jamboree.

Could #1 - Be the Hoop De Doo Revue???

#2 - Is definitely the HM.

#3 - Is not Sir Mickey's - but has sells glassware, crystal etc.

I think that #1 is CBJ. The quote I put in the last post is from the Railroad announcement as you ride through Frontierland.

What Magic Kingdom attraction at Walt Disney World features replicas of chess pieces located on its building's roof? The Haunted Mansion

I really think there might be a typo in the contest, where it says which attraction is referred to as "the wildest show in the wilderness"? On the official Disney World site it refers to Big Thunder as the wildest ride in the wilderness. Now don't you think they might have gotten their questions from the official site? No mention of wildest show in the wilderness for CBJ on the official site.

It may not be on the website, but it is on the Railroad annoucement. I am linking the website to the whole text.

If this is the question they are asking I don't think they can turn down the correct answer, even if they printed the wrong question. If you search "the wildest show in the wilderness", on this website, you will see that word for word that CBJ is the correct answer to the question they have printed. If it weren't word for word, then I would agree that perhaps they worded it wrong.
Good Luck

For your last question....

According to The Unofficial Guide 2004...(page 706) "The King's Gallery in Cinderella Castle offers an odd assortment of knight-wear, swords, and shieds; it's one of the old-time shops that has not changed much over the years."

Good luck!

Ok, I think I'm set for this week. Am going with Country Bear Jamboree as in another question, they refer to the three mountains in the Magic Kingdom, and I don't think they would refer to the same thing twice (Big Thunder) in an answer. Next Monday I will be back with more questions I'm sure, as this is the second week of an ongoing contest with 8 questions printed each week, for four weeks. Answers are printed through out the week in the classified section. This is more fun. Will let you all know how this turns out. If I win, trip for 8 for a week to WDW. All expenses paid. I'm sending in 10 entries each week.

I wish my paper would run this contest. It seems like a lot of fun.

Not to be difficult, but I know of the contest you are discussing, and I don't understand why you need us to give you the answers, as they are all given in the newspaper throughout the week. And, as it is not a race to get the answers in the quickest, I would think you could just get the answers from the paper.

With that said, it is a fun contest, and playing it definately makes me want to go to Disney World!

Wildest show in the Wilderness? Must be Hoop-de-doo at Fort Wilderness.

For one thing, I don't get the daily paper, only the Sunday one, which has the questions. I live in a neighboring city, where they don't have the paper readily available. And even if I did get the daily paper, who wants to go through the whole classified section each day looking for the answers? And actually, you do need to get your answers in fairly quickly as a drawing is held every Wednesday for the previous week. Also, I don't get all the answers here, as there are eight questions each week. I know most of them, but just want to confirm a few of them.
