This "RUMOR" is so funny. My wife actually called me from work to inform me that a co-worker read on AOL that Disney was closing one of their parks. I had to reasure her that it was in fact a rumor.

Now that I think about it, this would be an excellent cover-up for Disney. They could just move everything from HKD to the park soon to be built in TEXAS!

True, but laregly because Disney has done a great job of convincing us that we must hit all 4 parks during our visit I think many would argue that AK is a whole lot of space filled with a "half park" worth of attractions...

No need to jump the gun.

They have not gone bankrupt or closed the park.

The park has not performed well, for sure.

And now, there is a conflict between Disney and the government of Hong Kong on the funding of the park and possible expansion.

Doesn't look good, however.

Government of China. Hong Kong is not an independent country.

The HK Disneyland was truly one of the dumbest moves ever by Eisner before he left. Trying hard for the quick buck.

Actually it is the government of Hong Kong that is working with Disney. PRC probably has the ultimate say but Hong Kong is largely self-governing.
