Cool. I think this is a HUGE untapped market segment. You have no idea how much I'd love to see certain video games become attractions...not even just Nintendo or Konami. Imagine a Portal attraction.

I'd have to think if they're buying the rights to Konami, after buying the rights to Nintendo then more should come soon. I think those rumors of a third gate for Universal might be true, if they're snatching up video game rights all over the place then something big has to be coming.

Gamerland. People would lose their ever-loving minds over that. They would have the pre-teen through Gen X male market cornered, with a fair number of females thrown into the mix as well. Maybe they'll acquire the rights to My Little Pony and build a Brony land, too. LOL.

The video game area will finally get my family to Universal. I can't wait to see what they come up with! I would love some thing Contra based. Obviously it won't be too violent, but maybe a spread gun that shoots water instead of bullets?? I'd take anything! :rotfl2:

Joe Rhode tweeted this shot of the Pandora model we saw at D23. You can't deny this place is going to be amazingly beautiful. If the floating mountains look anything like that, then I'll be really impressed. The supports are really well concealed and it actually looks like the mountain is floating.

Oh my. I'm sure that is a bit overblown, but anything even close will be amazing.

Like HP-the area/s is what makes it incredible IMO, not the ONE ride they added.

You can see that very mountain being built in construction photos right now.

Track for TSMM expansion has been on site for a while and should be installed by now according to Martin at Wdwmagic.

So far we have Nintendo, World of Warcraft, and Konami rumored right? Because there's a lot of other properties you would hope to see in a video game park. Sega with Sonic, Namco with Pac-Man (imagine an LPS ghost shooter ride with a neon 8-bit Pac-Man aesthetic), Valve with Portal (even if it's not a huge property, the idea of a Kuka arm attraction mixed with Portal could be really cool), and even some misc IPS from all of those companies and others. Is there an armchair imagineering board anywhere here where I could speculate more on this topic without veering off topic?

Yeah, if the mountain structure is light enough and some really good engineering is put into this, I think the supports (or vines) could make the whole floating mountain effect work.

Remember that Imagineering is not about "can we make it?" but rather "how can me make it?" ;)

Nintendo is official, Konami is strongly rumored. Haven't heard anything about WoW so I'm guessing that's not as solid.

Imagine Team Fortress 2 laser tag...
