Looks like a b&m hyper coaster similar to apollos chariot or nitro...

A good, solid addition to the park...those rides are alot of fun

Seaworld is pretty impressive These days...like universal they have added alot of good fun these last 15 years.

Kraken is an off the shelf ride but still one of my favorite pure rollercoaster out there.

Awesome looking Rollercoaster. I haven't yet been able to even do Kraken but im glad that since next September will be my first trip to Orlando in 6 years there's going to be plenty of new rides to experience.

Seaworld is such an odd mix. Entertainment directed predominantly at younger kids and families with rides directed squarely at thrill-seekers, which would typically be teens and young adults, the demographic that would be LEAST interested in dolphin shows. Guess the theory is "something for everyone"

I haven't been in about 10 years...but we are planning on fanning out from LBV as the kiddos get older and going to "the competition" starting next year...

In fact...it's looking like we will be at Disneyland, and sea world/universal next year and skipping wdw except for perhaps lodging, waterparks, and downtown...

That's almost inconceivable if you look at my travel history/loyalty...

Good thing I'm not the "target audience" anymore

It works though...and still has the niche market at discovery cove that nobody has touched.

They also are coming closer to the "ringling brothers moment" with the orcas where they will relent and close the book.

But hey - "something for everyone" sure beats "now get back in the giftshop"

Sorry to jump in and Randomly ask but while on the subject of Seaworld and Discovery Cove, are they close by each other and could you do both in one day?

I don't think you'd want to...

Discovery cove is high cost and there are some scheduled times in there - so you wouldn't want to short change it.

And if you only left the evening at sea world - you're not really covering either.

I think you would want to do it this way:

Day1: discovery - sea world evening
Day 2: aquatica - sea world evening

Or something like that

Discovery cove is like $250-$400 per person with the Dophin Swim included, depending on the time of year. That includes unlimited Sea World and Aquatic admissions for a week.

There's no way you would spend that kind of money and only stay there 1/2 a day. If I was going to spend that kind of money - I think I'd give it at least 3 days.

Yeah - $250 for one day seems outrageous.

$250 for three days - Disney standard.

This is making more I think about it. 20 Years ago is about when they bought ESPN. This also about the time they closed teh Main St. Penny Arcade and turned it into sports themed gift shop. man I loved that penny arcade
