It was the Hollywood reporter...which used to be marginal but is now one of the main entertainment covering organizations left...

And it is HYPOTHETICAL.

I'd say nominations for the SFX etc. categories are a guaranteed and winning is likely. Even some sort of special award is at least credible. Picking up one of the big four (Movie, Actor, Actress, Director) is more of a stretch.

Most forget that the original Star Wars was nominated for Best Picture. With up to 10 pictures being nominated, if the movie is good enough, and Best Picture nomination is not outside of the realm of possibility. However, winning is EXTREMELY unlikely. As others have said, technical awards such a sound editing and visual effects could be possible, but likely will also be competing with Fury Road - which will be a hard one to beat.

The reviews are off the charts...I picked up the times, Philly inquirer, etc and locked them in my desk...the headlines were enough.

Carry on.

Wait...I'm talking about mine train...not any kind of movie or anything.

Always difficult to see...future is.

Star Wars almost won...there is little thought that It did not finish second in voting to woody Allen mindless musings...

And good point about 10...there is absolutely no way they allow it to not be nominated if it has a decent story and decent acting.

oh i could definitely see a nomination for best picture

It seems like the consensus is that this is the Star Wars film people have been waiting for for decades, but that it relies too much on plot elements from the other two trilogies. Still, a pretty positive reaction on Rotten Tomatoes.

97% from critics only?

And everybody loved a bland toy story 3 around here?

Jeez...it's the first of probably 15 new movies...

Tough crowd, ain't ya?

The references to the originals had to be there to satisfy the moms and dads because George screwed it up SOOOO BADLY.

Alright...we can admit it now, crapquel defenders...

The war is over...Abraham Lincoln invites us all to heal.

:( That would suck. A lot. Though the comment about not taking TIW makes me pause, since I'm pretty sure I saw on DPB that they were doing TIW... Makes me question the validity of the rest...

EDIT: Now I see in the Skippers thread that they're not taking TIW anymore either. -sigh- Guess it's just one of those, wait and see what happens. It's only been open for a couple of days, so I'm sure many things will change by the time March rolls around.

They took TIW for 3 days then management stopped that. It is really interesting how they are handling this restaurant compared to others.
