I don't know if you've seen an pictures of what they are doing to hulk yet but the cobra roll has been dismantled. The queue seems to be getting totally redone as well. I've also seen pictures of all the ride vehicles in a dump.

I saw that but assumed they were just replacing parts of track. I hope they aren't planning to make it a tamer ride. It's one of the few great coasters in the Orlando area.

Ladies and Gentlemen we have our first major DHS permit! This permit is for construction of a retention pond for large scale work coming to the area. It also shows where future road changes will be happening.

Is there any way you can link the picture over to here, because I don't belong to those forums and I don't really want to have to join to see it. :( Thanks!

This one above shows where the pond will go and the new road improvements to come.

Below shows that the park will be expanded past its current barriers. The yellow is the new parts of the park essentially.

Nice work posting.
I just went on draft logic... if you include JUST the current Star Wars area - No Indy, No Muppets, and No Streets of America, then go back to the canal... it's roughly 18 or so acres... Hopefully this is the plan. I'm a big fan of this future Star Wars land, I just wasn't a fan of it taking up the Echo Lake area and being right "on top" of the current Hub.

I'm been hiding from the boards for a while as I recovered from Post Disney Vacation Depression...Back now and catching up!

Yeah I've heard there are no plans to bring them back currently.

This makes me very sad! :(

Pretty exciting to see these things start to surface.

I will be very disappointed if it's a herky-jerky ride with gratuitous un-Newtonian bumps and lurches like Dinosaur.

You've never experienced off-roading. Dinosaur's ride is very authentic. It is exactly what you would likely experience while driving a Jeep through such an environment. Been there.

From what I have found on the permits and reading on wdwmagic.

Toy Story construction should start very soon. While work is going on for that they will prepare wetlands for future work.

The yellow section is currently forest area but will not be that very soon, where they will be clearing, grubbing, and filling existing wetlands, ditches, and storm water ponds.

The areas marked W12.22 and W12.2A will become parking areas.

This work permit is scheduled for start in January 2016 and completion in October 2018. This does not of course mean everything will be done by October 2018 only things specified in the permit.

Nothing in the permits mentions parking garages but doesn't rule them out either. Martin Smith says he was told two low level garages are coming but its not "gospel".

I don't understand the layout. Is World Drive moving, or are they installing a bridge we'd have to walk over to get to Star Wars Land?

I don't think World Drive is being affected at all. Studio Dr will be moved and Star Wars will most likely go in the southern portion of the park.
