I think all of the temporary structures holding the mountains in place reall are incredible. This really is going to be like nothing before, the mountains are just a feat in itself.

Take a look at this amazing photo from Damouse! Some incredible imagineering going into pandora and those mountains. Also a reminder this land is only 10-11 acres Star Wars is 14.

I don't know if anyone has driven into DAK lately, but that show building on the left of the picture is visible as you are coming in, and it is absolutely MASSIVE! Not just big in square footage, but has to be 80 -100 feet tall. I gotta assume that's where the boat ride goes. I wonder if it's some sort of double use show building where the bottom level is the boat ride, and the top level is the flight simulator.

its is
boat ride on left E ticket flying ride on right...if you notice the grade changes so it looks like you enter for the e ticket above the boat ride

edit: you can see tiny people in yellow jackets to give you an idea how big this is

Yes part of it is for the boat ride but the majority is for the banshee ride.

So I'm wondering[1], was the height of the floating mountains defined be the height of the buildings behind, or did they scale the mountains then use that as a cap on how high the leading edge of the buildings could be?

[1] just idle[2] curiosity.
[2] very idle, I should be working. :(

Part of the reason for the mountains is to hide the building.
