EPCOT to Reduce Park Hours Starting Mid-July

“EPCOT has posted hours of 11am to 10pm from now through July 17th, reducing park hours to a 9pm closing beginning July 18th.”

Maybe they are heading back to their old hours and the fireworks at 9pm. Will have to watch for an earlier opening.

I think the hours after 7/17 just haven’t been extended yet. I don’t think they are reducing anything.

The thing is, this is like an After Hours event and if they do get to a point there they are bringing back fireworks, they could be running them BEFORE the event (keep in mind an event ticket still gets you in as 7 PM). If they have 50th fireworks, that could be what is running. Now, that's all a huge IF, but not impossible.

The issue with fireworks is crowd exit control . these event would be even worst . All the day guest will stay , then along with party guest. WHAT A MESS.

One thing of note here, Disney has been tweaking hours about 2-3 weeks out, normally moving them to longer. As someone who has a trip in late July, I'm hoping that's what it will be, especially with it being cooler at night.

“Cast Members at the entrance to A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King just announced that the show will officially open May 15. Of course, many guests are in line now and Cast Members have dragged signs for the new show out to the entrance to the theater – indicating that there will be showings today, as we reported earlier. Any showings prior to May 15th are officially considered soft openings, according to Cast Members.
