So Avengers campus gets to open as early as June, but a ride that's completed in EPCOT stays closed until October... (For now)

My only thought is they wanted to keep it as something big to add to the 50th... but it’s definitely frustrating when you look at it at way. I wouldn’t be surprised if Remy’s is open before PeopleMover 😬🙃

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Harmonious Nighttime Spectacular “Coming Soon” to EPCOT

“With little else to share about the resort, D’Amaro said that Harmonious and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind are among the attractions and experiences “coming soon”
Maybe he was just focusing on Epcot but I noticed he didn't mention Tron...really hoping it's completed enough by our May 2022 trip to at least have the railroad back up and running...not gonna lie though I really hope Tron's done by then too.

That would be great!! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

UK dis fam may be visiting soon (there’s several articles out that herd immunity for Britain is achieved possibly in April)

and Florida has filed some things in court to get cruising back sooner than later. Two weeks ago we got this quote:
““Let's get people back to the work. The health situation has changed,” said Thomas Mazloum, president of Disney Cruise Line. “Cruise lines are cruising very successfully outside the United States, proving that with the right protocols cruising is a very safe and beautiful experience.”

and the likelihood of vaccine passports at WDW (clarification since other places are different!) is becoming unlikely since the white house said:
“The government is not now, nor will we be, supporting a system that requires Americans to carry a credential,” Psaki responded.

**please keep it news related! The theme park operational thread got shut down for going off the rails:duck:

So has there been any talk from Disney of a more coherent App strategy? As it is now, we have MDE to schedule things, PlayDisney to do things while we're in line, now MyMagic to get into the park and get our Photopass photos, and eventually Genie to suggest things to do. That's just way too many separate apps.

At one point I had assumed that Genie might just supercede MDE, but I'm not even sure of that anymore.

Universal Hollywood did a surprise open of the Secret Life of Pets ride that was supposed to open up the week the pandemic shut everything down. They are still doing their "Taste of Universal" food event right now, actual park open happens April 16th.

See the above for examples, Universal REALLY needed something like this for a long time. Hopefully something like it comes to Orlando too at some point. That queue is amazing too.

I just hope it’s all bookable online. I don’t want to have to call anyone for the basic parts of my vacation.
Pre-Covid, I've taken Mears shared-ride shuttle vans to non-Disney hotels. They could be booked online. (They're currently suspended to Covid, I believe.) They did not have baggage service though.

I agree, it would be wonderful if everything was all on one app... but could you imagine all the problems?! 😬
