Wow.....I wonder why it was taken down (sarcasm)?

Wait, where are the floating mountains?
Sorry ...I couldn't resist.
This from a team that closed Jaws to make Diagon Alley, closed Disaster to make Fast and Furious, and closed Twister to make a Late Night with Jimmy Fallon "ride".

Jaws was a great, classic ride and always fun, but I think that Diagon Alley and Hogwarts Express were great replacements. I can't comment on F&F and the Jimmy Fallon "ride" but I think that both Disaster and Twister were just about used up and not all that appealing any more.
They should have replaced the two WORST attractions at USF/IOA however ... the Poseidon walk-through noise-fest and the Sindbad stunt show ... also a noise-fest with flashes popping in your face as a bonus.
And Dr. Doom's Fearfall.
It is easy to see what makes Universal different when talking about replacing classic rides. Unlike Disney, Uni used to be a very dated and dull park prior to Potter in my humble opinion. Even those who think Jaws was a classic know how dated that ride used to be.
I heard a rumor that Disney will install Coke Freestyle machines at all resorts. Anyone else heard this?
I like the idea of the machines but the flavor additives don't taste right to me.

Might be easier to control the RFID with that. As long as the iced tea isn't controlled I'm fine. I don't drink soda.I heard a rumor that Disney will install Coke Freestyle machines at all resorts. Anyone else heard this?

Inam not a fan also I think I read a negative of them at Universal is they don't give out water.
I agree that the remnants of the Lost Continent could make an exit, but it would have made zero sense to put F&F or Fallon there. Those things distinctly belong on the USF side.
At this point, it is more of a matter of finding something that fits between Suessland and Hogwarts than anything else.
I maintain that Toon Lagoon is worse than the Lost Continent though. Tons of shops marked by irrelevant characters, and even if you happen to like those characters, the shops themselves contain absolutely nothing related to them. And the actual rides aren't so great either. The line for Ripsaw Falls is miserable, and more like a Six Flags line than a Universal or Disney line. Lots of switch back ramps with plain colored walls and nothing to look at. I only remember one room having any entertainment in it, and it was a few talking heads that kept repeating themselves. Then the ride itself isn't even themed for over half of it. You just float around and occasionally you see a character rocking back and forth. The facade of that ride is the most impressive thing about it.
The Bilgerat Barges are ok if you like that sort of thing, but it's a 100% soaking to go on that ride. It could easily be rethemed to something else if they want to keep a water ride on premises.
