News Round Up 2016

I so want a SW hotel with Hoth, Degobah and Tatooine sections!

I would love for All-Stars to transform into a Star Wars, Marvel, and Frozen/Art of Animation themed hotel. You could do it with Pop, but there is more room it at AS.

I'm sure they don't enjoy their castle that much after getting Storybook Castle in the park next door, but I don't think it makes sense to use resources that are needed for more attractions to tear down the current castle and make a new one. Unless the castle truly has some power from a marketing perspective on people's minds, it just seems really unnecessary. Just learn to embrace it like Disneyland does (though to be fair, it is easier to love DL's castle for being the original one).

I would love a Star Wars themed resort but for emmersion they would need to build something from scratch rather than retheme one of the all stars for example

New world of color Christmas show.

Might be one of my favorite versions.

That was a really different show. Enjoyable, but quite different regardless. I do enjoy my Disney songs during the nighttime show, but something different is always good. And by the way, the Goofy/Max section was awesome. Kudos to whoever programmed that particular segment.

I had the same idea when I first heard about the Stars Wars expansion at DHS. Put a SW hotel within walking distance of DHS. Total SW immersion.

Me too, although I would have put it "in" the park. Continue the immersion into the hotel. Special/exclusive entrance to SWL from the resort (all but guaranteed to be the first ones on those attractions each morning). There's plenty of land south of SWL that I believe has been designated to be reclaimed, but likely for parking. I don't think it's necessary to have that parking lot entrance there, but even if that road remained, they could build an entrance into the land over the road.

Certainly, this would be expensive to build and you would need all hotel staff to be in character. Quite an undertaking... but they certainly could charge QUITE the premium for stays at a place like that!

Personally I don't see this happening right there. With the parking expansion happening there and it would have to be a deluxe resort to have an exclusive entrance.

It has been stated on here the Disney likes deluxe DVC, and they could build a SW themed hotel that wouldn't ruin the immersion by being so close to HS. If they build something like the Jedi Temple from Courscant, they can incorporate both a parking garage and build DVC towers. I think this would encourage a lot of people to purchase DVC there so that it is their home resort and they could charge more than the Poly bungalows. (wait why is this a good idea?)

I think offering a separate entrance for the hotel guests would be a neat idea ala the Harry Potter train. Some transportation system that took them from the hotel to the park with video screens. I wonder if they would go so far as to have storm troopers as bag check security before getting to the park.

There just seems to be a lot of possibilities with the idea, so I don't think it is something that outrageous.JediTemple-TZBSB.png

I don't think they would do that. People will pay a premium for Star Wars. More likely you build a value/moderate resort and charge exorbitant prices for small rooms because they are Star Wars themed. (Heck, being Star Wars they could build an entire "detention wing" resort and have each room be a small windowless cell with a hard metal bench and people would STILL pay to stay there. And I'm only half-joking about that.)
