I just got news from someone on another group that he was charged $5 for each package. Any news on that? He's staying at POP.

The website was updated today to reflect those changes. According to another website it's a test but I don't see the fee going away. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/mail-services/

You are underestimating the sock market. I dont know anyone who buys .99 socks anymore, except maybe my mom. Stance has a pretty awesome line of Star Wars socks, among other designs. They aren't performance socks, but I think they are equal to Little Mismatch in terms of quality and their designs are more detailed.

They certainly are not going to convert hotels to a new theme - this is never going to happen.

New hotels are bound to happen at some point. More value hotels are most likely as they have high occupancy rates, still make boatloads of money, and the people they keep on site still spend loads on food and park tickets.

They aren't performance socks, but I think they are equal to Little Mismatch in terms of quality and their designs are more detailed.

My first management job after college was at an upscale business hotel. I wore a suit and tie every day. The General Manager was very old-school in terms of demeanor and appearance. As such, we were only allowed to wear black/brown/grey suits with white/crème/beige shirts and solid-colored or simple-patterned ties.

While I wanted to be a team-player, I wasn't thrilled about not being able to express my individuality more. Since socks weren't part of the dress code, I started buying crazy ones. I can't recall what I paid for a unique pair, but it certainly was a lot more than a buck.

I'm of the belief that any new hotels other than timeshares will be "partner" hotels.

If they're going to hire 1,000 new employees...that they can't find...it won't be for that.
