Turner Classic Movies (TCM) has announced the next installment of "Treasures from the Disney Vault," hosted by Leonard Maltin, for Wednesday, December 21.

Looks as though the theme of this installment is animals.

Below is the schedule, all times in Eastern.

8:00pm - Perri (1957)
9:30pm - Old Yeller (1958)
11:15pm - The Littlest Outlaw (1955)
12:45am - Silly Symphonies: The Tortoise and the Hare (1935) and The Ugly Duckling (1931)
1:15am - The Ugly Dachshund (1966)
3:00am - A Tale of Two Critters (1977)
4:00am - Sammy, the Way Out Seal (parts 1 and 2) (1962)

Wow, this is probably the line-up that I'm least familiar with -- could it be we're now running out of "treasures"? I have been looking forward to them airing Old Yeller since its been years since I've seen it. I've heard of some of the others (and seen the Silly Symphonies), so this will essentially be new for me.

As I wondered previously: how much longer will this series last if the Disney/TCM partnership will allegedly be coming to an end soon?

With such short notice, I'm sure this is going to make some people unhappy...

They've been filming in all of the parks or will be. It hasn't affected anything except we didn't get to see the new castle projection show. We say Kelly Clarkson sing I'll be home for Christmas at mk yesterday and heard her do part of stronger from a bit away at epcot.

Fascinating bunch of movies - lots of animal movies. I was actually thinking on the last round that I was surprised we hadn't seen Old Yeller yet. Disappointed we aren't getting any Disneyland/Wonderful World of Color episodes.

Have they done Swiss Family Robinson yet? Maybe they have and I just missed it. (Edited: I found the list - they haven't yet.)

This is interesting....they mention the two rumored changes (At CBR and Contemporary) but these are both rumored to be DVC. The way that Disney continues to convert deluxe rooms to DVC tells me it's unlikely they build more deluxe resorts. I wonder if we could see more value / moderate resorts. These are the ones that are typically running with 95% capacity.

Anyone care to speculate where on property they'd put a "new" resort? There were test balloons near the mini golf course between Epcot and DHS. Maybe the space between Grand Floridian and MK? typically the monorail resorts are Deluxe, but in that spot you wouldn't necessarily need a monorail stop....and you wouldn't get prime view of the MK from it's "good side".
I know the space between the poly and contemporary is supposedly ill suited for building.

Those balloons were for Swan and dolphin expansion. That space isn't big enough for a brand new hotel. Possible sites could be in the DHS area, around bay lake, and maybe even closer to AK.

would be so tight to see Ariel's Castle replace SB Castle in HKDL
If you're talking Eric's Castle, it's already at WDW and wouldn't really be impressive enough.
If you're talking Triton's Castle under the sea, it's already at Tokyo Disney Sea. It would be neat to see a huge version of it though, but I don't think it'd really fit in.

Watch it become Elsa's castle or something.
